Crazy prediction time: I try out for Coats next year and you all are subject to a 40 year old overweight white guy who hasn't played in 20+ years with gray hair (barely) running around in one of those super tight white uniforms.

Sure, but instead of taking this as a slight to 11 other corps, you should take it that I can't get it out of my head the we might see a new champion. A champion who has paid their dues time and again. A champion who pushed the activity. No issues if someone else wins, but I can't stop thinking about the Coats.

To be honest I don't think we do. I think Crown, unless they have significant tricks left, will be in 3rd for the rest of the way. They are getting crushed on GE by a spread they won't be able to make up elsewhere come Saturday. I really think it's a Blue year, hopefully we need our Coats.

I'm betting the judges but some distance between the Bluecoats and Crown tonight:
Bluecoats 95.3
Crown 94.0
SCV 93.6
You guys get no matter how much you wish, SCV ain't catching Crown.

If SCV falls to 6th, they will by far be the best 6th place corps ever.

Am I the only one who caught the left/right issues after the heartbeat portion in the beginning? They almost came apart.

Remember Crown closed the gap created on Friday's TOC show (Friday gap was 1.0 Saturday was .838). I think you are letting the show you like best influence you. I'm not saying that Crown (or BD) will overcome Coats necessarily but I think we'll see it become closer and closer instead of either staying the same distance or the distance getting wider.

Looking at the last 5 scores for Coats, BD, Crown and SCV
Average Increase:
SCV 1.234
BD 1.028
Crown 1.026
Coats .93
I will say SCV is skewed because they have a longer total number of days between their 5 scores. I think we're already seeing the slow down which will edge BD closer to Coats. Don't know about Crown and SCV although I could conceivably see Crown gain ground on the .838 they lost by last night.

Agreed. Doesn't mean I won't watch it and love it. Like those movies that are the sequel to the prequel of the reboot of part II....I'll watch it at least once.
