Hey all! I just wanted to say how excited I am that there's going to be a local drum corps show in Troy this summer! According to the website for Excelsior, their director says in her blog that Fusion Core, the White Sabers, Shenandoah Sound, and a couple other possible corps are going to be performing. First a DCI show in Glens Falls, and now this! I know I'm new to drum corps, but I love good live music. Can't wait to see more this summer, please keep the news of new shows coming, I'll go anywhere for them!

Site looks good to me. I really do hope they do something like that. I mean, I'd love to do some of the professional gigs that they do (like the Saratoga Race Track and I saw them in a couple parades in the area). I just wanna be part of something bigger than me that's going to grow, and have fun while doing it!

Hello all. I'm a newbie to this forum, and was told to come here to learn more about drum corps. A friend of mine plays with the Capital Brass, and I'm thinking of joining them. THey sound absolutely amazing and I'm told they're going from doing mostly parades and professional stuff to being a Class A corps. Now, I know there have been other drum corps in the Albany, NY area, and unfortunately none have really done that well. Nothing against the Capital Brass guys, but is it possible that this group will become a great field corps?
