  1. When you drive by Immaculate Conception Church there in Marlboro, give a nod to their former corps The Dukes of Marlboro and their other group The Duchesses. If you ask for directions in Marlboro, be prepared to speak Brazilian Portuguese. Hopefully you watched the Olympics.

Portuguese has been spoken in Massachusetts/New England for over three hundred years. I find your comment offensive. Can you please give it a rest? Surely there are other threads you can spam.

  2. We learn from a very young age to never lick a battery because it has acid in it. Well, here’s a fun fact for you. Battery acid (pH=1), Coke/Pepsi (pH = 2.5), Mountain Dew (pH =3).
    Mountain Dew contains:
    • GMO soy and corn,
    • BVO (banned in Europe and Japan), acid
    • Sodium benzoate (preservative that reacts with Dew’s vitamin C to create carcinogens),
    • Yellow dye (made from coal tar)
    • and BPA
This concoction is like something out of Frankenstein. But don’t worry, Pepsi wants you to know that these ingredients all together aren’t dangerous.

    You.ve got some 'Moxie'. ;)

  3. Brilliant hirings and business choices, Boston! Can't wait to see all those kids returning next year and see that staff in action.

Don't let those whose tiny eggs got poached, the b##t-hurt, or the self-promoting and entitled ones pee on your parade...especially in this place.

Happy 77th yr.'Saders and best to your deep-pocketed. very involved BOD and Alumni.

Best wishes to all the Corps next year. Enjoy the ride.

  4. Ghost if you want it "straight", here goes. The 2016 Boston Crusaders don't owe you a thing. The members, staff, support staff, and management (inc the BOD) of BAC couldn't give a rats azz about what you know, what you think you know, or how much your experience in the corps 50 years ago entitles you to second guess anyone. Like many supporters of this drum corps, I am positive for the sake of the members and the folks in the trenches making it happen. I have been so since move in, but at no time did I promise or even predict a final placement, because ultimately, that is also partially dependent on how strong the other teams are.

There are many of us connected with the corps who just as soon see you take up golf. No, I would not suggest that you follow another corps, because I would hate to see you "haunting" anyone else either. And by the way Ghost, why don't you just come out and tell everyone your name instead of being a keyboard commando. The REAL Boston Crusaders perform in public, for all to see.

    Sincerely,

    Craig Scott

    South Portland, Maine

    Thank you, Craiga. Spot on.

From what I saw, those 'Giants' aged 17-21 are pretty awesome and very much worth retaining. To which, I commend the BAC/Inspire organization for their business acumen, support of donors, alums, and sponsors, and their open door (see social-media) policy of allowing ALL to express their concerns, best wishes, or questions directly to them without a chatroom filter.

Ghost, I get your loyalty and generosity but your anger or frustration won't bring it home.. talk to them .Cheers BAC17 ...and Happy 50th SCV!

  5. Enjoying this commentary and constructive discourse...and a few laughs!!

While I needn't go on about the passive-aggressives and the yearly 'drive-bys' by the usual suspects. Other threads notwithstanding; keyboard warriors do not my life fulfill.

Best to BAC. Love their 2016 progression (new brass vid is awesome!) and their organizational growth and financial stability. Enjoy the final's push and congratulations to those strong, talented kids and staff; they know what is needed and what to do. Have a wonderful home stand and practice time. "Do it up!"

Love seeing the old-timers, like BAC, SCV along with new corps like The Academy. Lots of talent out there!

  6. Back to the topic, sorry fellas.

Good Luck to all these great performers tonight! What memories will be made and music played. A beautiful and historic venue and a wonderful idea BSO-POPS/BAC.-- Thank-you!

Here's hoping it stays yearly event with DCI possibly showcasing their talent, live, at Tanglewood, someday.

    Cheers!

  7. Heard BAC got a prolonged standing O. Great show...Beautiful venue. Vids and pics are wonderful!!

Too bad DCI didn't broadcast one of the most epic Drum Corps and showcased performances...nothing like promoting your brand, Acheson et al..

Rondinaro blew it, too "1875"? right, Steve.

  8. Well done, BAC/DCI.

Venue rocked it, Potter was a hoot...crowd was huge and awesome (sans a few Borgi-sh whine with cheese. Mary, please.). Crowd loved Crown and showed it. Lots of knowledgeable and supportive fans and Alums. I Enjoyed all the performances. This night's favorites, for me, would be Crown, BD, and the evolving BAC. The Cadets drumine and mellows blew me away. Good to see the Troop out East, with a fantasticshow.

Good luck to all the corps, this great season.

A Very Happy 75th. Do this again pls..
