If that were the situation I wouldn't be posting it here. I fail to see how discussing something I feel strongly about hurts my character. I have not bad mouthed my corps, I have only presented my feelings toward an action.

No actually I didn't want them to accommodate me. And I know there are other places to March. I'm just not happy with two minutes of their show as it is rude and not needed

Many of you are not understanding. I am not angry about being cut. My dismay is the lack of respect of what we were told. of the four of us, one is marching colts cymbal line another is spending his age out at college, the youngest isn't marching and I'm teaching cymbals for a highschool

thats not the problem. When they told us they would not be fielding cymbals they should have stuck with what they said instead of disrespecting us. there are quite a few men in the corps that we marched with that are very angry that they even did this. there are alumni that are dissapointed in the corps for what they have done. This isnt me ###### off because i got cut. this is entirely a issue with disrespect to brothers and a community of people. maybe you just dont understand the pride it takes to play cymbals and i dont expect you to.

When i first got news i had no emotional reaction. I called someone i call my mentor and just talked to him. I was confused as anyone else i would talk to in the comming months. I still get comments from drum corps fans i meet praising scouts for the amazing line they had put together in 2009. People that would dare to say that it was the best cymbal line they had seen the entire season. They ask me if im doing in again only to see the confused look on their face as i tell them there is no longer a cymbal line. Their only reply, "why would they do that." I have no feeling of resent towards my brothers, the new staff or the people that support them, I only wish they would have found a way to not break such a profound relationship between four men and the rest of their brothers. I don't have the talent to play anything else in the corps. Κψµβοσ as a Madison scout is who i am. This isnt a matter of "why didnt you try out for something else?" i wouldn't be saying any of this if i didnt feel disrespected and lied to. I was whole heartedly fine with the decision that was made to not go with a cymbal line...sure i was hurt but i still had faith in my corps.

A couple months after the 2009 season ended i recieved a call that the scouts would not be fielding cymbals for the 2009 season. Now to see them having them on the field i feel lied to by the corps i call my home. and it is the ultimate middle finger to me and my three other brothers.

Up until a few moments ago i had only seen the opening..... now that i have seen six guard men walk around the field with cymbals i feel betrayed and screwed over.

I wish scouts had a line again this year....i wanna march it again.

i mean im really happy they have the staff they do. but they dont even understand the level of commitment the plate line put in this summer and planned for next summer. i now have a year of aging out brothers i will never get to see. hey i could go march SCV but thats the thing, i loved being a scout and to have that taken from me has been tormenting me from the time i got the news.

I just hope he fixes what he did to me and 3 of my brothers in 2011
