Hope they can get the holes sorted out. Will help a ton with firm clarity.

Who's staff?
Music City percussion.

I think this can/will jump up over the rest of the season. Just really well put together and thought out and the performance captions are improving a lot. Not trying to do too much.

I love looking up a caption head to have never heard of them before. Tommy Sam is doing one fine job. Also helps when you have Shane Gwaltney, Tom Aungst, and Tom Rarick as arrangers and coordinators.
And Joe Hobbs. Amazing guy and educator. Lots of awesome guys on that staff 🙂

Strangely enough, I associate American Beauty with 2014 Blue Knights, That One Second, since they used Kevin Spacey's closing monologue for their narration
That show will never not be an emotional gut punch. And still my standard bearer for best usage of narration.

Percussion has been scoring really well. Easy to see why. Great writing and performance.

Love the thorn motif in the drill throughout the whole show in a lot of different configurations.

I feel like Music City has a product that can move up a few more spots over the rest of the season from where it currently is.

Did they rip off the Deep in the Heart of Texas gag from Crown last year? hah
Lol they’ve been doing that in WGI guard for a little while. Every Texas group gets a deep in the heart of Texas 🙂

It’s simple fun and gets the point across really well. Narration usage is top notch and elevated/gives purpose to some pretty standard rep.

That was the first finals.
But frankly 2017 was entirely "finals worthy" finishing just outside at 13
You could say 2015 Resurrection and 2016's Forbidden Forest was the start of it as they took their style in a new direction toward the 'strange and uncanny.'
2015's terra cotta soldiers waking up finished 20th. 2016's weird trip through the forbidden forest pulled them to 17th. Then it was off to the races. 13, 10, 10, [covid] 10 and now another jump.2017 might be my second favorite behind 2023. The second they started the first cast I watched I know we were in for a new corps on the rise.
Can’t believe I forgot them in my favorite non finalist shows ever discussion. I guess I’m used to them in finals 😜

That much was obvious from the start of the season with the spinning passthroughs and led to the "they should strap people to those" and "vomit comet ride" conversation.
I'm still laughing they actually went for it.vomit comet 💀

Full disclosure my son is a Baritone for the Colts. I really liked the changes and a few more voiceovers helped I think to understand the overall show tonight for them. I just texted with my son who was happy as he'll about the jump in score but then said, we have better runs in us. Gotta like the attitude. The Colts best ever finish I think was 9th, they might have an outside chance to get that placement this year, dare I say 8th with the run of their lives. I really love the music they put put it is a fun show. Very Midwest if you ask me. My son is 18 and a first year DCI kid, he loves it, the talent put out there and all these shows are so good. Really fun to watch. Go Colts, Go Red Team.
They’re awesome this year, great run tonight.
