Yeah two sub captions over Crown is awesome and well deserved. So excited to see what they can do from the 6th slot tomorrow.

Lots of good in the recaps and things are progressing nicely. Hope they pass Carolina Crown tomorrow, stay in that top 3 grouping for Atlanta, and have an AMAZING week next week to tweak, change, and clean the show and come out swinging the rest of the season like last year.
And if it ends up fourth, who cares? I don’t think it will, but anything on top of what they do on the field is just icing on the cake. Keep doing what you’re doing 💙

Devs - As expected
Cavies - Nice drums win
Bloo - Better get drums figured out or they won't even medal
Fun fact! Bluecoats drums had really similar numbers at this point last year.
Broken Arrow - 5/3/4
Denton - 5/3/4
Houston - 2/3/2
San Antonio - 2/4/4
I’m not worried. Yet.

Trombone feature is ruff n tuff and the way the rest of the brass all join in is awesome. One of the major show hi lights of all the corps this year. The closer is also fabulous reminds me of Kinetic Noise and I’m so so here for that! She should have won in 2015 over miss inferno controversial opinion btw 💄💋
I will die on that hill for 2015.

You can really tell that blue devils don’t use a traditional computer program to write their drill compared to everyone else. It’s unmistakable.
Agreed.
Also your username makes me uncomfortable 😳- 1

Bluecoats and Anna Meredith this year and last are the most refreshing and exciting thing I’ve heard in the activity in awhile. No one else does anything like it.

It's cleaning up. Percussion is monster and is their saving grace this year. But the show is doing absolutely nothing for me, it feels like the covid year shows where bands pulled a bunch of stuff they had done before back out and did a medley and called it good. I get/understand/respect the anniversary year. But for me it's a bunch of run on sentences and nothing more than "look at as many things we could fit in here as possible we have done before!". Would have rather had less more focused thoughts than the everything and the kitchen sink direction. Maybe some looking forward at what's next too, not sure where they go next year. I don't see it doing much more competitively this year, maybe I'm wrong.

I think it's Boston's fault. Really - all these guards are trying to keep up with Boston's and just pack their shows with content. I love it. I'm so grateful to Boston's guard since 2017. It's because of them that we are seeing out of this world guard books. It's such a treat, even with drops.
Blue Stars have been going absolutely bonkers with the guard books since 2010 or so, especially 2014 to now. Sometimes it cleans up and you get a 2014, sometimes it doesn't.

It's weird and has some issues but I adore the creativity and kookiness, absolutely not a safe show.

Does it bother anybody else that that one sugar cube second from the left never has a flag spitting out of it?
It has in the past, I'm guessing one of those flag guard holes is that member.

THANK GOD they got rid of the New World Symphony quote, felt so out of place.
So many good changes all around!

I'd take this over Troopers. So much more well rounded, maybe not with the huge strengths Troopers have in drums/music analysis but WAY WAY WAY prefer this in every other caption, especially visually.

It's a LITTLE cheesy, but it's a cute fun light hearted show and feels really in line with what they've done since 2021.
