The one I've been watching is in 1080p right up next to the pit.

The only thing I could see realistically happening is BDB or whoever wins open class placing 19th, at the most. When you get to last years 18th place (Pacific Crest), they are just on a whole other level. The top 5 or 6 or so of Open class are getting quite good though, I must say. That's awesome.

Sorry, but you're just flat out wrong. J.D. Shaw doesn't write weak horn books; it simply just doesn't happen. The execution might be off, but the books are solid.
Much like last year, from the initial recordings I hear Phantom taking on much, much bigger challenges with interval leaps, harmonic blends, and instrument range than most other DCI corps. Difficulty in brass is more than just "non-stop sixteenth runs."
I'm a huge Phantom homer, no apology. But to me, this show has the excitement "feel" of their 2003 show: it might not end up much better than 5th place, but the crowd is going to eat it up.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that this show will be that awesome. We could get along.

Not saying the rest of the show won't be awesome. Elsa's as the closer will be very emotional come finals night, but it only takes 10 seconds to make people B**** and moan for hours and hours. Here's hoping they pull it. Didn't seem to make much musical sense to have it there in the first place.

Phantom's show will be plenty controversial. Why? Lacrimosa + really lame electronic drum kit groove. Just saw in on some other site. Really hope they take out the house beat from behind a truly beautiful melody. Right now it's just painful to listen too.
I have to agree, that was my only real complaint about the show, other than those 10 seconds, it'll be plenty awesome.

At my first competition last year, the people who were associated with the corps, the crowd, and especially the souvenier trailer workers were the nicest people I've ever met. I couldn't have imagined anything better from those people.

Phantom and Troop, way to go on the corps and guard unis, both look AMAZING!

I think it's cool.
If it was a permanent change that really changed the look of the uniform I could see why people would be upset, but not this, it's just the colors. -

This sounds pretty epic. Definitely another addition to the shows I can't wait to see! It'll be interesting to see how they handle dark, their shows for awhile have been pretty happy and uplifting.

They produced some heavy hitting shows in 02-05, I think they could be a dark horse for the lower half. It's always fun to see a corps rise up again after some troubling years.

The one that always sticks out to me is Cadets 2000. Anything Vanguard 2000-2004 is my kind of stuff, especially 2002. That's some awesome writing. :)

When I saw that movie, the music stood out as really fantastic to me. As far as the music goes, I'm not exactly sure who it would fit best, it'd be pretty cool though.

Vanguard will knock off Crown for a top 5 spot.
Phantom will be below Blue Stars.
Pacific Crest is going to move up, very unexpectedly.

My favorite show will probably again be the Bluecoats. Got the same awesome amazing feeling about the show last year. :) CAN'T WAIT!!!

Spartans + Madison ties = Academy 2011?
Very classy but yet fun looking. It's awesome. I will say though, NOTHING like I was expecting.
