...and this is the reason I didnt support the uniform campaign. There were clearly more important things that needed to be addressed.
Glad to see the corps is doing the right thing to get some interest up. Best of luck and hope to see you back in 2014.

Would be fantastic but probably not true.

Starting a thread on the class A corps...bc they need love too.
news, updates, who's still in the class, favs to do well....
ready set go!
Thats just it... we dont know.

So you come on here with these vague posts about a so called new corps that you can't give any information about and then tear down SoCal Dream multiple times? Why post at all?
Exactly. This guy appears to be in the know, which makes me assume he is involved in some way. I already have a negative image of this so called "new corps"... if there actually is one.

Tragedies?
I think he means Dream not coming out to finals, Gades getting kicked out of DCA, the "bad image" Gades have been getting lately, etc....

Hey, guys. If you're looking for the "Most Dangerous SHOW" to see this year, you definitely want to add the Downingtown Classic to your list. The announced lineup is quite impressive, but the local scuttlebutt is that one more corps may be added shortly. If so, you'll want to have tickets to this one.
Bucs
Cadets 2
Atlanta CV
Bush
White Sabers
Shenandoah Sound
and possibly ONE MORE that could give an early indication of how exciting Labor Day will be!
If it happens, get ready to send your check while tickets are still available.
Stay tuned.
I think you have last years lineup, I think this is the 2013 one:
Bushwackers
Cadets2
Minnesota Brass
Reading Buccaneers
Shenandoah Sound
White Sabers

Let's not ruin a perfectly good - and fun - thread on yet another 'NE corps need to travel for the good of the order' argument.
....anyone else catch the Oscar homage? kind of like the 'did you see the gorilla' lesson in observation.
work hard, play hard CV!
fine fine... I sure wish other corps would do the harlem shake.
(better? )

Maybe Reading can come down to Atlanta this year???
It sure would be nice to see a northeast corps go west or south!
-
If there were another DCI corps to make a DCA corps, Id like to see it in the midwest (phantom, cavies) or south (crown, spirit). Try to grow DCA in those regions a bit more. It would be nice to grow the west too but the only corps out there already have their feeder corps.
-
What makes DCA unique and entertaining is the fact that not all corps are cookie cutter like DCI.
Each of the above mentioned corps are unique in their own way. I wouldn't want to watch a show with just Bucs and MBI nor would I want to just watch ES and Cabs type corps.
Maybe you should focus on DCI instead?
I didnt say I dont enjoy Empire or Cabs. I said I prefer watching the Bucs style. I do follow DCI but I enjoy and follow DCA just as much.

I rather watch corps like Bucs and MBI than Cabs and Empire. Just saying.

MBI merged with Govies.
Bucs are off to DCI Open Class.
Cadets1 and Cadets2 are trading places.
CorpsVets are now the Corvettes.
Empire is marching 2 corps this summer.
Not really sure why you didnt hear about any of this. I guess you are not looking on the forums hard enough!

Where do you draw the line between "back in the day" and today?

Its possible. One DCI corps has dipped their toe in the DCA pool. Maybe it will start a trend.
Another DCA corps is never a bad thing.

My bad, I was going by the 24 that was visible in the video...not by what Rich said later in the video. Rich did say the upper brass positions were filled, so I assume that in addition to the 10 visable trumpets, there must have been another 10 or more out of the frame. Assuming they are marching 12 mellophones, that means only half showed up for camp. I certainly wouldn't be saying my upper brass was filled out with that kind of commitment level.
Troll much?

Maybe just a little
But I do believe Bush is going to make an impact this year, especially with the new staff. I'm excited to see them this summer. I do believe it will come down to Bucs, Cabs, C2, and MBI at Finals though. C2 is the most dangerous Corps, in my unbiased opinion because they now have the DCA experience. They know what they're up against, and they know how hard they will have to work to beat the other corps. Last year, roughly 90% of us were rookies, but this year C2 has returning members so that will also play a factor in the season.
I made that same point earlier in this thread. Just had to give ya a little crap!

Wow, such a tiny horn line. They aren't marching Class A this year are they? I assumed after a successful inaugural season that they would have better numbers this year. Hmm?
Over 40 for a camp weekend. Not bad. Im sure with a younger group there are plenty of school/job commitments going on right now that takes away a handful of kids. Only missing 10-15 to be where the top few are.

I believe Cadets2 is the most dangerous this year. I watched their latest video and compared where we were in March last year, they've seen to surpass that.
I believe Bush is a close second.
No bias there at all!

I've been wondering the same myself. I wonder if C2 will get uni 'hand-me-downs' from the Cadets every season? After all, it does seem like the DI corps gets new unis every year now :)
I dont even think they are hand me downs. I think they are just flip flopping whenever it makes the sense.

George Hopkins posted a pic awhile back showing the Cadets(1) support crew working on the traditional maroon top, white bottom uniforms. Then the Cadets2 posted this recruiting picture on Facebook:
I wonder if they will now be in the all white/cream. If so, awesome! I dig those more than the stock Cadets uniforms!

Just curious, whats the archive look like now?

It would be nice not to have it but its not that distracting unless you are thinking about it. Im sure its no walk in the park to replace that section of turf.
Also... in an older thread about this, it was stated that the section of turf that replaces the helmet is much newer/less used and is inconsistent with the rest, making for a nice surprise for the performers when there is a elevation/resistance change.
