  1. On February 7 2015 the Corning Winterguard will host the WGI 2015 Northeast Regional at the Corning Painted Post High School in Corning New York. The regional will be held in the Corning High School's new fieldhouse type gym complex. There is a 100 X 70 gym for the show and an 80 X 60 auxiliary gym for equipment and a 40X 60 Wrestling room for body warmup. There are currently 26 guards signed up for the show. This is a Prelims and finals format one day event. For more information go to the WGI.org website.
  2. Lots of bingo equipment, pull tab machines, bingo paper, pull tabs etc for sale. Reasonable offers accepted. Getting to the point where its taking up space. We will never run a bingo game again so why hang on to this stuff. Best offers that include you picking it up will be accepted.
  3. The Spectrum Winterguard will not be returning to the competitive floor. Loss of funding has played a large part in this decision. It was a great run and we made a lot of history and we had lots of fun doing it. I Believe!
  4. We lost our lease so we have our entire bingo operation for sale. 2 Flashboards and 1 for parts, 1 computerized bingo machine, 1 older bingo machine, 1 ball camera, 1 2 column pulltab machine, 1 4 column pulltab machine both with the newest up to date bill acceptors, 1 $.25 pulltab machine. All of this for $10,000. I also have some paper supplies and pulltabs available at separate costs. Hate to sell it but we have been unable to find another location to hold our game. My email address is tradition@juno.com I can send pictures of the equipment, I can arrange for a viewing of the equipment. You would have to pick up the equipment yourselves if you purchase it.
  5. I highly recommend this group. Several Spectrum members have marched here and all enjoyed their experience. This group continues to grow and provide a very affordable drumcorps experience without sacrificing excellence.
  6. It is with regret that I announce that Spectrum Winterguard will be inactive for the 2013 season. Loss of our bingo game, loss of the bulk of our staff and extremely low numbers at our first audition have prompted us to make this decision. Decisions about the program's continuance will be made over the coming year.

  15. Held at New Hartford High School(thanks Ken Dining) the 1st Annual New York State Spin Clinic was a huge success! Counting staff and members there were over 200 people participating. Classes were offered in movement, weapon and banner with all skill levels represented. Staffs were also able to set up time with Chris Calhoun Spectrum Staff member to talk over music and ideas. All folks involved came away with a great sense of accomplishment. The clinic also was a vast sharing experience between many of the guard programs in New York State. This will ultimately help to enhance all programs involved and New York State in general. It was Spectrum's pleasure to be able to host this event. We intend to make it an annual event. With the success of this years quickly organized clinic next year's should be even bigger and better. Stay tuned for more updates!
