Riiiight. I have yet to see a drum corps show that more intense than four corners, spin cycle or Billy Joel. Don't bring up any of those shows from the 80's or 90's. We all know they weren't anywhere near as crazy as it is now. They have been constantly pushing the demand of the activity visually since the early 2000s.

This is true BUT Thats in a perfect world. I honestly doubt every girl in this activity is at the same level as every other guy in drum corps. Keep in mind some girls might have the physical strength, but lack the mental strength to keep pushing. From experience i have seen girls break down far more than i have guys.

Based on facts? Men are stronger than women. Yeah there are some girls who keep up and are in top shape, but not too many in this activity.

Yeah. i know they're one of two "laid back corps, but there's a difference between working hard and working smart. I went to school with a cavalier, and he was pretty big (by big, i mean body builder size) Kinesiology major i believe. I remember him talking about how much they had to train on the off season to be prepared for the show in the summer. Now i know most people didnt like the Billy Joel show, but if you watch that closely enough, you'll notice that its one of the fastest shows that have been on a football field. You HAVE to be in great shape to march at 190-210 for majority of the show. Most corps save their hardest drill for the last 30 seconds. Not sure if that proves my point, but it made sense in my head.

Really? Because i was pretty sure crown and phantom had the "bigger" people in the top 8. As for cavaliers, im sure maybe 1 or 2 guys were border line too big and just right. AS where i saw atleast a dozen at crown in 2009. I'm not sexiest, but i'd bet money that an all male drum corps would be the most intense.

I'd say cavaliers and cadets For one, i know that cavaliers usually have the least injuries in drum corps (from what ive heard). I think part of the reason for that is because of how in shape their members are. I think they choose the more athletic looking members who they think can handle their drill. Isn't that why most people want to go to that corps? To march intense drill? Plus, How often do you see a fat cavalier? Really? You can just tell by looking at The Cadets that get their butts kicked. Usually by their silent intesity and tired faces. So you have to have some endurance for that corps.

To be honest all i do is post my opinion on this board. I voice it straight up, and not sugar coat it. It just so happens a vast majority of people don't like what i have to say, and thats fine. And for those of you who say i need to "get a life", i'm on here because i'm bored and college is out for the semester. Plus it's my first summer not marching after doing this activity for 6 years. Also, my so called "friend i betrayed" doesn't really care i brought it up on here. He says they're still gonna kick butt.

You mean to tell me you think they can keep that momentum up? Crown couldnt do it in 2010. What makes you all so positive Bluecoats can? I dont see them placing higher than 4th. Which is probably where they'll end up.

you're right. They do have the most talented corps. Cavies is a close second.

who are you to judge me for the things i do? In the end it doesnt matter. My statement wont effect the placements of any of the corps so this shouldnt even be an issue. Also, keep in mind the outcome of any of these corps wont effect any of your lives. Its not gonna make your bills disappear or cure cancer. Bring on the hate.

Since me and him are so close, i doubt what he was telling me was a lie. But i guess he also didnt count on me saying anything to anyone about it. But regardless of what ive heard, we will see what happens in a couple months.
