Good parody. You've got the rhythm and the feel. I've always thought we could use this software on DCP, too... http://xkcd.com/481/

  2. Everyone who is upset about the scoring delay is an idiot. /thread
  3. Phantom's 2008 finals performance was better than their victory run. I'm nearly positive the same could be said of any corps; good point but not necessary or game-changing here. Of course it isn't. The difference isn't in execution (DCI corps could probably win BOA on technical merit alone) but in design.
  4. NO ONE is debating that the level of musicianship, execution, technique, etc. is better in BOA. NO ONE! Now, you might argue a Broken Arrow vs. last place Open Class comparison, sure. No one SHOULD, though. I'm willing to argue that Broken Arrow's overall design is better than the Colts' overall design. It's evident in the hit; look at what the Broken Arrow kids are doing with that hit visually vs. what the Colts are doing. I'm a Colts homer, no doubt. But Broken Arrow designs better than even most finalist corps.
  5. From a design standpoint, nearly all the BOA finalists had better programs than all but a handful of DCI corps. Not better performed. Not more entertaining. Not better execution. But better programs.
  6. If you liked the the modern Cavies, get ready for...the modern Cavies!!!! O.o Good topic, mostly poorly executed.
  7. If you're able to lift, focus on triceps and lats. Likely, you're not seeing results because you're thrusting your hips forward to compensate for the weight. You won't get anywhere if your hips aren't properly aligned to your heels (not to mention staff will kill ya for it) so be sure you're standing with good posture at all times. Shoes over the bell work nicely. Also, run. Running will help everything. As will core muscle workouts.
  8. Weak reporting, incorrect names, dates, and facts? Awesome article...
  9. Rookies to the organization or rookies to drum corps? Big difference; if they're true rookies, I'm impressed. If they're just new to the corps, meh.
