Is it just me, or is this just bad judging at this point. It is good for the activity to see shifts in positions, such as watching a corps move up on another and finally over taking them. But I feel like what we are seeing going on with Crossmen, Stars, and Troop is just inconsistent judging. Don't get me wrong, it is exciting to watch, but at the same time it doesn't make sense to me.

Really? No one has any guesses on placements yet? Mainly concerning Colts, Troop, Crossmen, and Stars!

Serious question, why would someone want to march contra there or in Bluecoats - and to a lesser extent the rest of the top six?
Scouts, to learn from Brad Green.
Coats, to be apart of the best tuba lines of this decade. Coats consistently have the best tuba line.

Does anyone have any personal rankings thus far?

Judges for tonight:
GE Visual: L. Carlson
GE Music: G. Fugett
Vis. Ana: J. Howell
Mus. Ana: D. McGrath
Mus. Perc: J. Webb

This is going to be an important competition, that's for sure. Now that these corps have seen each other, more consistent judging should take place.
Was Evansville a fluke, or do the Troopers really belong above the Blue Stars, and Crossmen?
Should Spirit be in front of the Cavaliers?
Each corps didn't have a show yesterday! Everyone should have been hard at work!
-
Did something happen in the Blue Stars show? When i saw Troop in Fairfield they werent even close to Crossmen in my opinion either.
-
Plenty of room. But apparently the Blue Stars didn't think so and saw their opportunity to screw over an organization that has always been very good to and very supportive of the Blue Stars. Props to them for selling out and stabbing others in the back along the way. How else should that have been perceived? If that's a chip, so be it. If was a straight ##### move. Seems to be serving them well huh?
What are you even talking about?
-
Furthermore, this is why Blue Stars will forever be on my #### list. They have a couple of good years and suddenly consider themselves a blue blood...throwing up a big middle finger to everyone else in an attempt to hitch their wagon to that perceived gravy train to save their own back ends.
A few good years? Learn your history sir. Stars were an original power house, which was whay part of the selling point was. It was supposed to be about historicall great corps. Furthermore if you were a director and didnt take the g7's offer, you would be a fool. This world is hard enough financially, so you grap whay you can get.

Good: such a phenominal show. These kids are performing the heck out of it.
Bad: fatigue set in towards the end tonight.
Will be in contention for a medal come august.

Cadets
Good: strong, loud, clean.
Bad: still doesnt hold my attention. Addressing the complexity issue: i think what i mean to say is that its not complex but they are trying to make it... and its not. Its just colors. Props still annoying to me.

Scouts-quite a few holes out there tonight.
Good: almost everything is great about this show.
Bad: not as good of a run as in BG. No storm was summoned today. Misically not nearly as clean.
The greatest thing is how they have so much room to grow still.
-
Cavies
Good: still really great show design. I really like it. Visually pleasing.
Bad: they unfortunatley have some major hornline issues they are gonna have figure out.
I want them to be better so bad!
-
I haven't seen a show yet. But, I wander how iSpirit's drill is matching up with say Boston and Scouts' this year? Any comments on this?
Boston yes. Madison not a chance. Scouts are movin this year.

Int is on.
Side note: anyone notice how Hop has the forearms of a gorilla?! I aint thumb wrestling him anytime soon.
-
Spirit:painted their front prop boards black. They were colorful scenes of a speakeasy before.
Good: another solid show. Boy did the screamers hit all the right notes today. Fun loud show.
Bad: still wish their drill matched the intensity of the music before the last 10 sets.
-
Crossmen
Good: they are marching well. Clean visuals.
Bad: this was not nearly as good as a run as in BG. Musically a good number of balance issues. They didnt sell it today.
-
Troop
Good: enjoyable well designed show, with some nice ensemble moments
Bad: probably not a top 12 show. Some fatigue issues. Marching is an issue. Pleanty of season left to build up.
-
Troop on. Sun came out right in their eyes
-
Yeah Tradition! The best they have ever been all around. Very proud!
-

Just for you!
-
Cincy tradition is on! They have grown in numbers for sure.
-
