  1. Thanks, this post was very helpful! I was wondering about the balance between personal skill, and the ability to adapt to changes. A little hard to stay relaxed, but ill try Alright, this is gonna be fun. HS marching band stepping off on left foot, and a week after finals ill have to be able to step off on my right foot. Ah, well.
  2. Okay...does anyone have personal experience of what the audition process is like, in regards to marching? Is it mostly technique stuff the first camp, and then i get drill to learn before the next camp? Will I have to learn how to peel step and then step off on my right foot before the first camp (for cadets)? stuff like that.
  3. yes, but i couldn't find anything. i was wondering if i was just missing something. Also, i realized i wasn't being too clear in my original post. I don't really know how they test marching either, like if you are in a block and do basics, or you learn drill very quickly, or both
  4. Hi, I'm new here. Put this in the right section if this is not in the right place Anyways, I'm going to audition for both Jersey Surf and Cadets this year, and I want to know what the audition process is like. I read a little bit about it on a snare forum, but information about exercises and specific techniques I would need to know were not in there, as I play the trumpet. Could someone explain what the process is like? Also, does anyone know if Cadets released any information about songs we would have to know for the first camp?
