Countdown 2 March 3 The Countdown 2 March 3 is a multi-level effort by the programs of YEA! including The Cadets, USBands and Urban Arts Center to push for a full corps at the March 3–4 Cadets2 camp to be held at South Mountain Middle School in Allentown. The corps is currently looking for qualified players in the trumpet, baritone and tuba sections as well as front ensemble. Brass staff members from Cadets2 will be on hand for the auditions including Gino Cipriani (Woodstown and Red Land), Minesh Shah (Elizabeth) and J.P. Crowley (Bridgewater-Raritan). 10 a.m.–11 a.m Sunday, Feb. 19 — Woodstown High School, Woodstown, N.J. 4–7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 — Elizabeth High School, Elizabeth, N.J. 4–7 p.m. Wednesday, February 22 — Bridgewater-Raritan HS, Bridgewater, N.J. 3:30–5:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 22 — Red Land HS, Camp Hill, Pa. <br>There is no registration fee for the audition and interested players should RSVP in advance to guarantee a time. http://www.yea.org/s...ws_iv_ctrl=2261 Recruitment is kicking into high gear for the corps that members of the Cadets2 brass instructional staff will be in New Jersey and Pennsylvania beginning this Sunday at Woodstown High School in Woodstown, N.J. to audition prospective brass members for the corps. "Think of it like American Idol, minus the drama, where we bring the audition to you, rather than you coming to the audition. If you get a 'maroon and golden' ticket – you're off to Allentown to become a member of Cadets2," said Melissa Barlow, assistant director of performing ensembles and resident American Idol fan. The Corps is in search for Mallet Percussionists and Brass Players. Colorguard auditions will also be starting up in the coming weeks! The Cadets2 have their next camp this weekend on: February 11th - 12th at South Mountain Middle School in Allentown, PA. Low Brass and Front Ensemble keyboard musicians are still invited to attend this weekend as the corps makes huge strides in its program "Launch". The Cadets2 are having a special Open House Mini-Camp on February 5th from 9:30 - 4:00pm at South Mountain Middle School in Allentown, Pa! .Spots are still available in the low brass (baritone and Tuba) and the Front Ensemble (Keyboard and Timpani). Those interested in auditioning for high brass and battery should also attend! The corps will continue to learn music for their 2012 production "Launch" which will include music from the The Cadets 1992 production "To Tame the Perilous Skies" as well as music from the soundtracks to "Contact" and "Apollo 13".
