  1. We are very interested, but as we are just starting out we have very few funds at this time. If you send an email to arbellacorps@hotmail.com maybe we can take the discussion offline. Thanks.
  2. We are trying to start up a co-ed all-age corps on the North Shore of Massachusetts and we are looking for used brass instruments. If you know of any good sources - perhaps a corps that is replacing older equipment - we would appreciate it if you could reply with that information.
  3. The Arbella Drum & Bugle Corps, which was active from 1976 until 1983, is being ‘re-launched’ by a group of former members and supporters. Drum corps fans may remember Arbella – named for the ship that brought settlers to the North Shore of Massachusetts in the 1600s - as the All-Girl unit that came to prominence in 1979 by winning the DCI All-Girl title in Birmingham, AL. The corps went co-ed in 1982, but was forced to disband in 1983 for financial reasons. To start, the corps will be an ‘all age’ co-ed corps performing local exhibitions. The goal is to re-establish a drum corps presence on the North Shore and celebrate the nautical history of the seacoast. Rehearsals for 2012 will be held twice a month and performances will be primarily within 75 miles of Salem. A meeting for anyone interested in joining or volunteering in any capacity is being held on February 26th in Danvers, Massachusetts. The corps is seeking used brass and percussion equipment until new equipment can be sourced. For more information, visit www.arbellacorps.org or email arbellacorps@hotmail.com
