Lol... who would show up to lose?

Only to appease my OCD... the chevron, is the white separate from the black? Meaning, is the white part overlayed on the black piece? Comparing the black chevron lines on the left/right - they don't appear to be the same width. Or the white ones are off. And lastly... guard shoes - hope these are simply practice and we'll see black in the near future?
Meniscal points... just curious.
-
I like the new digs, but that guard... in the outdoor heat of summer... tough.

Now I have to go look at the pic again! I didn't even notice unis! Or is that a joke?
It's gone.

ATTENTION: Something was leaked in the Bloo thread and MAY have confirmed some things;)
Nice unis. ;)

Giving props where it's deserved... incredibly impressed with the audio. Video does need work - but definitely heads above where they (FloMarching) were last year.

Is the mic that they're using on field having issues? I'm getting some weirdness in the sound of the feed, but it seems to just be restricted to the on-field interview...
Handheld mic, it seems

I love the violet and grey - nice combo - they just look so frumpy. Perhaps they aren't tailored yet?

There have been plenty of warning posts - if you proceed with a subscription - zero complaining.

Quick correction. Drones cannot be flown above 400 feet. If they could fly above 400 feet, they would be in airspace potentially occupied by airplanes and there would be a risk of collision.
Yes - thank you for catching!

Agree, there are some restrictions on drones, but none that are privacy-related. A situation where technology advances far quicker than laws can get through Congress.
NOTE: A quick google search shows that FAA safety restrictions on drones is that they cannot be flown below 400ft, over groups of people, or over stadiums.

Not if you can see in from a public area, and maybe not ever if you're on a football field with 200 other people making a lot of noise. What privacy interest would a reasonable person have under those circumstances?
"Not if you can see in from a public area" - disagree. If I was in my backyard, surrounded by a privacy fence, skinny dipping in my pool, I would have a reasonable expectation of privacy. (Sorry to put that image out there... not a sight anyone should have to see.).
"Football field with 200 other people" - likely to agree. Not much privacy that someone could expect.
-
Bottom line... if a corps or anyone asks you not to take photos or record them, simply respect their wishes and no one gets hurt. ;)

A rented high school football stadium that is adjacent to a road may be "private," but I am welcome to stand on the sidewalk and record the goings-on within the stadium without violating any laws, and no one (not the police, not the corps) can stop me.
The question is, is there a reasonable expectation of privacy within the stadium?
-
"Publicly accessible area." No one can deny anyone taking video or a photograph if you are in a public location. i.e. If you are standing on a sidewalk or in a public park, you can capture whatever you'd like. If you are in a stadium, which has been "opened to the public" - you can record whatever you like. However... if a request to refrain from using said devices has been posted on the premise (I would argue an announcement would be sufficient as well), patrons should comply with those requests or be subject to consequences (typically, removal from the venue.)
In the event of the latest request from a corps via social media - if you have seen/read their request, you should comply. I would suggest corps' who wish to deny recording at their practice sights, post additional notice at the entrance of these venues in the event not everyone accesses their online media.
I'm not a lawyer, just a photographer with a history of knowing what I can/cannot shoot.

I have seen the product. I was a FloMarching member last year with MusicForAll and I can attest, it is absolutely the worst video streaming service I have ever subscribed. I will never use them again. No high-cam perspective, sound quality was atrocious, the feed was abysmal, and practically no customer service representation. And trust that it was not on my end as I was on fiber, hard-wired with download speeds near 140mbps. After the regular season, I attended BOA Grand Nationals and I finally got a good look at FloMarching's crew... hardly a level above high school kids running that program.

The crowd reacted with a cheer. How did they see that, how did they know?
The multi-cam feed is on the jumbotron inside the stadium.

I'm actually moving side to side with the horns, that's how into this show I am.
Guilty. :)
