But I have mad respect for the contra and euph chicks. I can't even hold a euph at playing position for longer than 10 seconds before my arms turn to jelly. Two words...weight lifting. Helps a lot :). That, and conducting marching band helps too actually. I picked up a euph after this season as drum major, and it didn't seem heavy at all. Now contra is a different story, there's no way I would be able to carry that sucker around all summer. To the contra chicks!

I thought Santa Clara had an awesome show! I loved their opener, where everything was nice and quiet from the pit and then all of a sudden....WHAM!!! And let's not forget Madison Scouts and their cymbals tossing skills.
