So a legit question for all our guard friends… in situations like this where the winds are really bad, do you stop doing tosses and such? How does that work?

I know some guards have a “wind version” (lower rotations for weapons and altered tosses for flags) they can default to for windy shows.

not sure a wind version would’ve helped too much cause that wind looked absolutely brutal, huge shout out to the Academy guard though they were fighting for it all the way to the end.

  5. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I would think it would be quite foolish to say confidently that Crown would win guard over the 8 year consecutive champion. I'm not even commenting on this year's race and both groups are talented, but you might be a little heavy handed in that statement.

That's on me, I forgot to include that it was an opinion so I see where you're coming from.

  6. Thoughts on tonight

Pacific Crest-loved the ballad, guard is vastly improved over last season.

Academy-omgoodness I adore this show soooooo much, the guard have great hands and nailed everything.

Colts-liked the music choices and guard was pretty clean, only issue is those huge boxes.

Troopers-I didn't really connect with this show till the closer, but the guard is improved from last year.

Blue Stars-kinda sorta was lost as far as what I was supposed to watch, but the guard work was insane, now they just need to execute it to the fullest.

Madison Scouts-This show is really awesome live, loved the whip section a lot.

Carolina Crown-this has to be the best colorguard competing this year, though I liked the old ending better this one is still cool.
