  1. And then periscope it <3

OK, I am going to give this a try. I am going to get there around 1:00 pm. Maybe I can catch some brass sectionals before ensemble at 2:00 pm. I'll be periscoping from my phone if I can find a good spot and if i don't run out of phone memory! I'm going to try and make as much room as I can tonight.

This is my first ever periscope so Hopefully I won't disappoint. I guess you have to follow me on Twitter to get notified?

    @lanceengland

You can unfollow after and it won't hurt my feelings. If anybody has any tips on Periscope or attending practices, I'm all ears. I am SO looking forward to seeing this tomorrow, both at practice and at the GA Dome. The show is just gorgeous!

  2. Practices are open the public. Crown is very welcoming. If you haven't already, "like" them on facebook. They will provide their schedule.

Also, check out carolinacrown.org on their events calendar. They are great on providing their whereabouts via their events calendar.

Thanks much. I'll check it out ;)

  3. I haven't read all 300 pages of this thread, so apologies for this non sequitur comment.

I have always respected Cadets, but for whatever reason they never quite found their way into my heart. I say this this to give some context to my opinion this year:

Holy s**t, what a show!! The Cadets show this year has everything I love: fantastic music and drill... my God the drill. The show leaves me breathless and the execution is astounding. Bravo, Cadets.

  4. Blue Devils - every time I watch in I gain new respect for it. And the music is outstanding.

Crown - the brass sound fills my heart with joy

Bluecoats - fun, and comprehensive theme. Awesome drum line. Just enough electronics for cool effect.

Blue Knights - I get tears watching it

Phantom Regiment - Not one for the ages, but still a great sounding show

I now thats only five. I appreciate all the shows, but these are the ones I want to keep re-watching.

  5. I think he meant the sustained brass chords as opposed to them NOT playing and it being a drum and synth ending. They just added some new ending parts to the show.

Yes I saw the old ending on YouTube before the GA Dome event, and like the newer ending sooo much better.

  6. I just want to say that, for the record, I anticipated this effect, weeks ago.

    Ok, carry on.

I'm not sure what you mean? That Bluecoats is picking up a lot of new fans this year? If so, I totally agree. I have respect for all the corps, but its natural to pick a few as favorites. Bluecoats was not on my radar much until this year, but I'm a big fan now.

  7. Hi all,

The Bluecoats show is so cool I registered on this board just so my first post can be "GO BLOOOOOO!"

I was at the show at the GA Dome in Atlanta this past Saturday. Bluecoats and Crown were my favorites by far. I also think Blue Knights show really connects to the audience.

Pulling for Bluecoats to win it all this year!
