I don’t, but the credentials are impressive. Hebron and Ronald Reagan are some of the names in Texas band.
Imo Reagan has the best straight up drill design among Texas bands and his style will blend very well with the Cavaliers identity and history of enthralling drill programs. Great hire!

Oppenheimer: The Drum Corps Show
Leander High School from Texas had a show in 2019 entitled Radioactive that was pretty fun. That's what I'd imagine that show to be like.

They'll probably win next year too just for good measure lol

Wow, 3rd overall in percussion!!! Awesome!
Pretty funny to think back when we were all pissing and crying about the percussion scores. The future is bright with Shah and company!

I will say what I please. I'm not breaking TOS and sometimes it leads to good conversations and I even made a few friends this summer. If you don't like it, don't engage, but keep your contempt to yourself.
I will say what I please goes both ways. Besides you've been unleashing your contempt for Blue Devils all summer, it's sickening to see that kind of #####ing over and over.

It doesn't matter, I have lost all faith in the concept of competition in this activity. I just have to accept the fact that BD is going to win and my favorite shows are going to lose and any knowledge I have after 30 years means nothing because I have no I idea what I am talking about.
Yes that's correct. Now stop #####ing about it on this forum, no one feels sorry for you and you have added absolutely nothing new to your repetitive complaints.

CONGRATS Blue Devils! Night 2 sealed.
Extend lead over 2nd1.2, 3rd1.3, 4th1.5
This is why the hype over the Allentown scores was laughable. This was always going to be the result come finals week.

Don’t know what they can do more to pull good numbers. What they’re doing—especially weapons—is just ridiculous.
I don't think the staging for them is as good as last year or the top 3 this year. Still very impressive and so much more competitive than after losing Townsend.

Here’s a dark horse bet: Bluecoats take the Ott.
I'll get even spicier and say it's more likely Crown wins percussion than that happening.

I don't understand. Wasn't BD supposed to open up a big spread tonight because they were on the same night?
I distinctly remember a comment that stated Allentown scores definitely weren't comparable because Crown was over BD in percussion lol. Sometimes it's best to hush hush and let the results play out.

Not coming up with an alternative title that uses tech and medical in place of steel, since PIT today ain't was it was in the 60s and 70s.
The Steel industry will always be an iconic part of Pittsburgh history, even cemented in the city's own Pittsburgh Steelers!

With scores this close at the top, ties become more likely, statistically. Just saying.
With subcaptions that go into the decimal points ties should statistically be very rare to happen at all, let alone two nights in a row...hmm

Yeah, true…I was talking more about the Allentown boards, other pages, futurist picking, etc. pretty quiet except here.
Oh I took that too literally then haha. I wouldn't worry about what people predict here, Bloo is doing great!

Love that NOBODY on forums is talking about Bloo right now. Just like last year. 🙂
There's a whole forum to talk about them right here though?

Crown takes GE, brass
bac takes visual, guard, music overall and percussion.
That seems about right to me. Can't blame the judges for the close scores these two are just sooo good.

If being on different days despite a consistent panel makes this contest totally incomparable for competition purposes, then it just needs to be on one day then. Such a stupid set up for the last regional before finals.

I see we've reached the point where Blue Devils gets a score where people think they might lose, and then still proceed to win.

In spite of an exceptional brass score and a fairly solid run last night, Crown slid a spot placement-wise. Which would suggest that there’s essentially no room for error each time a corps steps off from here to Indy.
I had the extreme good fortune to be in the company of some exceptionally knowledgeable corps folks at NB, and the consensus is that BD’s a lock for 21; we’re all just duking it out for a podium spot or caption award.
For me a tale of two shows: 1) ecstatic to have seen Crown ‘23 live, in DCI’s finest venue but 2) appreciating/accepting the inevitability of yet another BD title. Not a dis mind you, a romping good product they’ve fielded this season. They do SO much, SO well.
Do I still have hope for a C2C, Hail Mary, [your favorite] miracle finish here? I’m a Crownie, that’s what we do. Duh.
Point is, Inferno went down on the last run, of the last Sat. night of the season. Putting aside for the moment that BD’s are consummate gamers, can any corps get that close on finals night for that to even be in play?
If they make several clones of Jay Webb and he judges all the GE captions and percussion yeah I could see it happening.

I love the poem, but they overdo the repetition.
Yes, it's actually quite beautiful and fitting at the beginning with the body to set the scene for the show. But as the show goes on it definitely gets to be grating. And I don't think just because it's in the source material over and over that Bluecoats has to copy it exactly. Isn't the whole point of arranging to fit a piece into a Drum Corps show?
