It’s amusing that everyone hops trains depending on whichever corps is closest to BD. I bet if Bloo somehow makes a huge jump over Crown or BAC, people will just swap over to them. It’s in the acronym: ABBD

ABBD is a real thing though there are other reasons fans support BD’s rivals that are not because of BD.

So did the missing judge hurt/help either corps in overall score tonight?

The brass caption is in shakeup this season. BD set a high bar, and their execution has been kryptonite to Crown’s usual superpowers. Boston is in there, and rising to the fight. Based on the two performances last night (through Flo’s awful sound), a brass judge’s opinion would definitely have given shape to this race.

Wow - I was criticized earlier today for bringing the subject up on this topic which happens to be “San Antonio”.  I might start the topic tomorrow because I think it’s important.  I’m all for forgiveness, second chances, etc, but that doesn’t apply to everything in your life.

I’m sorry for being a topic cop without noticing (like you and others) how serious and concerning the topic is.

Sorry guys, but I do think it's important & relevant to the thread that a former major "convicted" player in the drum corps world was in attendance at the San Antonio regional.  But I guess I'll be done now.  Carry on wayward sons...

It is important, juicy, and worthy of its own thread.

Everyone processes things in their own way… no judgment there. Just want to separate one of the activity’s worst and darkest scandals from polluting what is otherwise a thread about the triumphant return to big competitions.

  5. “The Bluecoats” was clearly a labor of love. “Lucy” was fun too.  “Riffs” doesn’t feel as inspired. Maybe it’s because acid is more expansive, and pot is more introspective, like this show. The show is growing on me, just not as quickly as former seasons. Regarding the ending, it feels dragged out, though I like the abruptness of the current conclusion… a nice little jolt. Looking forward to how the designers mature it.
