Is it wrong to think those members deserve more? They are doing a phenomenal job with a high school designed show. I'm sure many want to see Madison back where they were 10 years ago. Battle for Wisconsin was always something to hype about on here. I don't think a single person has said anything wrong about the members and solely aim at design. Look at the shows from 2011-2013 and look at today's.

They are doing a phenomenal job with a high school designed show.  (A perfect summation). And, in the world of PR, is it smart to be promoting 2023 right in the middle of the 2022 season?  Seems like a rather odd strategy, imo.

Well every drum corps scores improved. The fact remains that they did not catch and pass 1 single corps this season. That's not good.

True...but they did improve.  I think they did the best with what they had to work with.  And what’s with the democratic socialist crap?   This is drum corps....not political bs.  Take that st++ to Faux news.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I kind of resent that Madison choreographed a mid-show standing ovation into their program by having their DM turn around to the audience during their false ending and then even bow after the release. Their show is entertaining enough that they'll get the ovation they want and deserve without having to resort to that.

True....they need to axe that part.  As well...ditch the soprano soloists at the beginning.  If they can’t hit the notes, skip that part.  Not even close to resembling a Scouts’ soprano.

I agree about the end of the opener- those rapidly collapsing boxes are super cool!  Probably my favorite dril moment of any I have seen this year.  When I saw Scouts live the crowd went nuts for the end of the opener.  Scouts had the best reaction aside from Bluecoats.  I know everyone is slagging their show for being behind the times but honestly the old school moments got WAY more crowd reaction than the over-emoting/body sculpting/prop climbing stuff most others were doing.  I hope Scouts continue to add more blistering drill- keep it coming, Scouts!  Move fast, play loud, toss high!

I think they call that move “The Meat Grinder”.

I find it interesting that Madison's show is the only one that DOESN'T seem to have ANY video presence on the interwebs this year...

Yes!  I’ve mentioned this fact on the Scouts’ Twitter page.  All still photos.  No lot videos, horn warmup....zippo.   Surprised that folks attending shows aren’t putting up any audio/visual.   So much for marketing and promotion!
