Ok Scouts' staff (again)...time to plug in some GE or it might be a tough Friday night at semis! Just sayin'. This year's show is better than last year...but no spots in the show that make you want to say, Holy Crap that was great...or...that was really loud!" As much as I hate narration...this show might need just that. Seems like the crowd is still a bit flipped out at you jumping the shark (since it's shark week I thought this was apropos). Adding a few bars to the ending is helping. I would add even more! Rip our faces off!!!

I don't think that will happen. Show difficulty gives Scouts the edge. Plus better perc and brass.

Ok Scouts....time for the staff to add some GE...as I stated in previous posts. Better overall show (more difficult than Mandarins). Just needs more oomph musically! IMHO. Finals!!!!

This is certainly a finals level show. Based on the scores, it needs Music GE. So...Scouts' staff....plug some flipping GE in there and you'll be fine...and in the top 12! IMO, I would make the fleur section LOUD (park and blow) like 1997 and 1999. The build up to the formation of the fleur is amazing...and then nothing. The move into the fleur is cool but is begging for more. Closer needs the same level of help. I would also ditch the bombastic perc at the beginning of the show. Let the horns do the Pilence Pee alone. Take advantage of the enclosed stadium echo.
Just some thoughts...

This isn't intended as an insult to Madison, but more to point out that this isn't some kind of breaking point for the corps. A couple of you are acting like the Madison world is ending because they aren't in the top 12 this year.
Like, where have you been? Seriously.Yes...but never two years in a row. I still feel they'll get into finals...but this pattern is concerning.

Agreed....but, imo, Scouts are better than Mandarins. Show is way more difficult and fast paced compared to Mandarins. Totally don't get that score.

IMO....certainly better than Mandarins. Needs more oomph at the Fleur. That part is dying for some major Scouts volume!

It's pretty much all of the above. One of those shows that's over before you know it. Should be great by finals.
