when you look at the percussion, Scott posted recently that had 0 battery vets and 4 in the FE when the year started. Dunno about the other sections, but if they have enough kids eligible to come back and do come back, i'm not sure BD will have as many spots open as usual

I believe there are only two snare age outs, four in quads, two bass.

Maybe someone can answer my question about rebroadcasts on Flo...

So, do they just start the rebroadcast at a certain time and run it straight through?  You can't go back and watch it when you want can you? I'm looking at Finals rebroadcast right now, I guess I can't repeat it again later?

No. They turn off the broadcast when it is done.

Yesterday began the first of 5 full rehearsal days BD has prior to Prelims. A ton of time to tweak, continue improving the closer, and really clean up the music and visual. And I could be wrong, but I believe a couple of those rehearsals will also be indoors which is a luxury im not sure anyone else has.

They are competing against themselves now, much like they did in 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2014. All of those shows were masterful, im very excited to see the final version of this show!

We will get our sneak peak on Wednesday!

BAC had more drops and still — deservingly! — beat BD guard, so I’m not worried on that front.

It’s BAC’s third in percussion that perplexes me. Is it because of the front ensemble? I mean third in content surely can’t be the opinion on that battery. It just feels weird.

I would guess front ensemble. Their battery has been hot all along.

That was a rough closer run for Boston. Company front wasn't straight at the start--like, did I see that correctly and ten yards worth of people just formed up two steps forward of where they were supposed to?

And a couple of people went early for the down ending in a way that was noticeable from high cam by me--and I figure if it's noticeable enough that a pit guy spotted it it must be pretty bad.

    Nifty down ending though.

Wish they'd found a way to wedge a certain rhythm into one of the various drum fills under held chords, though.

Ok..I'm glad that wasn't just me not knowing something. I'm thinking are they supposed to be THAT crooked?? They didn't know where to be unfortunately.

Anyone know why Colts are smaller this year? They have always struck me as a well-run organization, in part based on them running 2 corps for many years

They've raised World Class corps membership up to 165 which I feel has hurt the groups in the lower tiers. If a MM can find a spot in a more competitive group, many will.

I.... really struggle with this choreo I'm seeing across guards right now... the leap to landing on the knee... it just seems painful and unnecessary. The performers are amazing, but I just... it looks like it hurts or it will in 10 years...

that's a pretty standard dance company move. Not an issue if it's done correctly
