Trooper’s have the production to put them in finals, but they’re going to have to clean up real fast.

That's another show that I don't get either.  Hornline sounds off the whole show. And the music does nothing for me. Even viewing on Flo I'm occupied doing something else bc its doesn't capture my attention.  I try, I promise.  But I'd say Crossmen could push one of them out.

BK has managed to do boring better than anyone else this season. The consensus is we don’t believe this production is at the performance level to be a finalist.

👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 I thought I was the only one that felt this way. I usually love BK shows but this doesn't make any sense. And I use to hearing a strong hornline from them. I'm actually sadden by this year's show.  There shows are usually get me choked up 😢 inside.  But this show and Colts ain't it.

    Have they completed against Crossmen?

Cool; I love that area & usually stay an extra night or two.  Got some of our staff on that tall ferris wheel one year; found out the hard way that one had an extreme fear of heights.

Nice. They just opened a Margaritaville Hotel next door.  Anyway,  I do hope that they can reserve it , would be awesome area for visitors to enjoy after a DCI show. They are comparing the new development to L.A. live with just alittle bit more.

Really dissapointing that DCI could not reserve Mercedes Benz this year. I live near Atlanta, but went instead to San Antonio. Wanted to see all the corps one time before Indy.  Hopefully, DCI has reserved Mercedes Benz for next year-great stadium. Not going to Atlanta--91 degrees forecast, and a 50% chance of thunderstorms. Ughh.

I think its going to be harder in the future to reserve and the price is going to go up.  Atlanta wants money and with Centennial Yards being developed its going to be extra Hottt.. They should just look into Bobby Dodd or GA State, unfortunately. jmo, but you never know could get lucky.

That's great but only a couple of hotels & three restaurants, one of which is a hot dog stand?  No thanks; I want to stay @Centennial Park in the Hilton Portfolio & walk to the 'indoor' venue for the SE Championships.

I definitely hear you. Centennial is about go through a huge economic boom as well.  They are pushing to get it halfway done  for the World Cup.  It's going to be more dense, more restaurants, hotels, homes, etc. I just hope that DCI is going to be able to get in. Bc it's going to be hottt and alot more entertainment is going to want the Mercedes Benz Stadium.

Old Turner Field. I thought they tore that down. I knew it wasn’t at Mercedes’ Stadium but I thought this was a Georgia Tech stadium.

Nope. It wasn't torn down. It'd the 1996 Olympic Stadium. They are never tearing it down. It was converted into a College Football Stadium for GA State University.  The area is in the middle of a huge economic boom. It's going to look totally different from when the braves were down there. There are actually a restaurant district there already. And they just opened up a new small arena in the area which I think would be a great spot for WGI.  Anyway that area is completely transforming.

    Currently Under Construction.

Great job, Crown.  I thought it was a cleaner run, too.  Silk panels looked better, closing drill looked better.

    Keep driving!

The fully masked front has me worried about members health down the stretch.  Many corps are dealing with holes, but I hope that is just precautionary and not a bad sign.

I hope the masked front is just a precautionary as well. Take your vitamins and stay hydrated.

Great Job Crown!!! On to the next.

it was a cleaner run visually for sure.

I was watching for the snares movement mentioned earlier and didn't really notice it.  I'm convinced the issue is largely the pit book being not as on par as some of the other pits. It's a crazy tight year with top percussion lines and I'd pay more attention to the scoring gaps that the ordinals when gauging the impact of percussion on final placement.  But even there, if judges are using .1 to separate their ordinals, the 5th place line is gonna be nearly a half point back in percussion which has an impact of course.

I've had that feeling that it's the front ensemble writing. Like I mentioned the intro to the 5th movement is missing so much. I'm just going to say that I don't see much changes coming. I hope they can hold onto 3rd, if not it's all good. I love the show and it's entertaining to me and will be played repeatedly after the season. This year has been interesting so far, but the season isn't over.

Don't get me wrong, I love WCU's band, but Crown's show is just a little too over-the-top for me.  They definitely perform the crap out of it, though!

Got to have a diversity of shows.  Remember the Velvet Knights, now they definitely put out college band style shows and they were entertaining.  Thats what's it's all about, entertaining. Just enjoy the moment.  Crowns Show makes me smile. Plus I need to smile more in this crazy world.

I'm a sop/trumpet player, love all things brass, and love Crown's brass over the years (I can watch those lot vids of 2014 all day), but it just feels like they don't play a lot this year.. quite a letdown for me in that regard. Maybe they actually ARE playing a lot, but it just doesn't FEEL like it.. Once the head-cam and transcription videos come out after the season is over (I know some transcriptions are out now) and I play around with them I'll think differently, but it just feels like if I were to time the amount the brass plays they'd be among the lowest of the top 12 this year.

Overall still an enjoyable show to me.

I think it might feel as if they don't play much because the percussion is featured more than usual this year.

Brass & Guard judge lost their mind.

Idk anymore. I'm just going to enjoy the shows. I wish the percussion was scoring higher, bc they are great but that intro the 5th movement is killing me. It was great in the beginning of the season.

Anyway I I'm glad they have one day off, wish it was more. I'm starting to notice every year BD has about 3 to 4 days b4 regional. I may be wrong. Maybe Crown needs to start scheduling like that in the future.

Even in 2018 and 2019 they were virtually tied and exchanged a tenth here and there each night. They are clearly the top two and it’s great to see high execution, exposed skills, and really high difficulty! They are both such amazing guards yet totally different.

I think being the BD is a California corps they have so many connections to the entertaining business over there. It helps. I'd say the Arts in California is great. I seen video of california dance companies and I see were BD gets alot of ideas from. The eastcoast not so much.

    BD fans can be brutal.

Insensitivity about injuries, as noted earlier, is unacceptable and always has been. No class. Hope you get to enjoy Crownies from wherever you're sitting!

Glad I wasn't like than when I was on the other side. Ive enjoyed all shows.  Their time will be up one day. It's coming. Who to take over and reign for a minute, idk.
