We were having a party at a members house and rightvas the local channel was airing coverage the deck that has about 50 members on it, Jim Jones had literally stepped inside, fell on top of several corps members. A few were hurt, but not one was killed. The corps just had a different level of intensity after that.

When I marched with Troopers I almost knocked her out doing a left to the rear while carrying a baritone. When I came around my horn went straight at her skull. By reflex I raised up and mussed by an inch. Mr. Jones gave me a little Crap for not unloading on her until he realized that she had given us a score a point higher than the last show.

I am a 79'er for Troopers I see a correlation between his years CoVid disaster and the porch collapse in 1979 on Troopers Day that helped galvanize the corps into the finals.
