  1. Hi, hoping someone here can be of some help for information. I'm a long time drummer (Pearl 5 piece kit) that has always admired 'Drum Lines' but never had access to learning the discipline. I have researched the web and can no longer find Drumlines.org web site ....so I've joined here for advice. I have recently acquired a used marching snare drum (vintage ?) with the idea to start doing some Traditional rudimental drumming (ie. John S. Pratt). Can anyone here tell me what year the Ludwig VECTOR marching snare drum 14''X12'' was manufactured. I would like to attach or insert a pic of the Keystone badge/serial number of the snare drum I now own...but can't find how to add my pic here. It is model: LF-V924DX in white Cortex finish. I have installed new heads appropriate for this model of marching snare. I still have yet to "tune' the synthetic gut strands of the strainer. I realize this model is not the current (free floating) marching snare drum but I do want to keep with the 'traditional' influence and also my budget was small to stay in line with my limited means and not knowing how far into this project I'd want to go. Thanks for your attention and looking forward to reading any comments and info.
