You have all of these numbers but from where? Then your question which seems you answered that in your first statement.
Used a stopwatch app while watching the video.

The Friends of DCI benefits have changed considerably over the years. In years past it would include the souvenir yearbook, parking pass at major shows, VIP passes, etc. in addition to the Premium "Super 3" tickets to Championships included with the donation. Now, the only remaining benefit is first access to the best seats at Championships and other major shows, but the cost of those seats is not included any longer. The seats are separate and the same cost as everyone else. The seating priority for Championships goes first by donation level (i.e. Diamond level first, Platinum level second, etc.) and within each level, priority is based on number of consecutive years of membership in Friends of DCI. So, someone joining now would be a the "back of the line" within that membership level, but ahead of those at "lower" levels.

What was Phantom 2008?
Spartacus produced a 37 second standing O.
-
I believe Phantom Regiment may have set an all-time record for the longest sustained full-crowd standing ovation during a competition show Saturday night - 1 minute, 39 seconds. This was from the beginning of the chevron push in the closer to the end of the show (not counting the time after the final note). The previous longest standing O in recent memory was during the closer of Babylon in 2018, which was a paltry 52 seconds - Regiment nearly DOUBLED that! Madison 2011 (Empire State of Mind) was 48 seconds at Finals. Can anyone come up with one that was even in the ballpark of what happened Saturday night? I'm not counting Victory runs, which are a different animal. I'm talking a judged competition performance.

The replay of Finals just started a few minutes ago (over 90 minutes late).
-
Semis rebroadcast is finally up - only 5 hours late. It will of course completely overlap Finals live broadcast.

-
It now says "Live Now" but when you select it it says "Starting Soon"
I'm so glad Tom Blair is in charge of the actual video/audio production at the stadium.
-
Anyone know why the Semifinals rebroadcast is not on right now? Earlier it said "Starting at 9:00 am CDT" and now it says DCI World Championships Rebroadcast resumes tomorrow at 9:00 am CDT. I would assume that would be the Finals Rebroadcast. What's up?

I am curious. Is the Indie field turf or grass ?
It's Momentum Pro by Shaw Sports Turf, which was installed in 2018.

I have some extra tickets for sale in my Friends of DCI block for Indy. I have 5 for Prelims (Sec. 140, Row 18, Seats 7 & 8 and Row 19, Seats 7, 8 & 9), 2 for Semifinals (Sec. 140, Row 19, Seats 7 & 8 ) and 2 for Finals (Sec. 140, Row 18, Seats 7 & 8). For reference, the 50 yard line is between seats 10 and 11 in this section. Tickets are $69 each for Prelims, $99 each for Semifinals and $159 for Finals. PM if interested.

This makes me want to see DCI in unorthodox stadiums. Baseball field, golf green, or hell, even an ice hockey arena 😂
Ice hockey arena - see 27th Lancers, 1980 Olympic Winter Games, Closing Ceremonies, Lake Placid, NY.

Old Turner Field. I thought they tore that down. I knew it wasn’t at Mercedes’ Stadium but I thought this was a Georgia Tech stadium.
It's actually Georgia State University's home field (football) now. It was originally Centennial Olympic Stadium built for the 1996 Olympics opening and closing ceremonies and track & field events. It also had easily the best outdoor stadium sound system I've ever heard. Speakers on poles all around the stadium. They would play things like Also Sprach Zarathrustra and Call of the Champions on the system as people were coming in before events. It was mind-blowing. I don't know if they still have that system or not. Part of the stands were temporary, and they were removed as the stadium was converted to Turner Field for the Braves. When the Braves moved to their new stadium, it was converted to a football stadium for GSU. Georgia Tech still plays at Grant Field/Bobby Dodd Stadium north of downtown - home of DCI Finals in 1984.

I believe it is simply a scheduling conflict with the Mercedes-Benz stadium. A similar situation occurred in 2017 when the venue was not ready in time to host DCI and the event was moved to McEchern High School in the suburbs. It could have been financial as rental for that facility must be astronomical, and DCI is coming off two years of historically low revenue. However, the Atlanta show has for years been the second-best attended show of the entire tour - second only to Finals. It's importance on the tour cannot be overstated as the majority of attendees are high school band kids, many of whom may one day audition for a corps. It's a recruiting tool, not to mention a bonanza for souvie sales. It's a justified investment, and I'd be shocked if it weren't back at Mercedes-Benz next year.

In any "normal" year, I'd be heading up to Indianapolis right now for a week of total drum corps immersion. Doing the SCV percussion recording session on Wednesday, checking out the lot on Thursday before going into the stadium, seeing Semis in its entirety (assuming we finish lunch in time), SoundSport and Finals on Saturday. And in between, enjoying walking around downtown Indy, meeting up with friends and eating at the most peculiar hours. So, my eye is always on the weather forecast for the week. Looks like the weather would have been PERFECT for the whole week in Indy - even to the point where opening the roof would have been possible (even though it still wouldn't happen). Figures . . .

2017 SCV Alumni Corps
in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Posted
I think we all need something positive regarding SCV right now. And considering the corps colors are red and green, a little Christmas gift is appropriate. Here is a video (from a phone - wish I had proper gear with me) of the 2017 SCV Alumni Corps performing a standstill after the SoundSport competition at the PanAm Pavilion in Indianapolis on August 12, 2017. I uploaded this a while back, but just today did some tweaking of the audio and re-uploaded. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
