If she had to do rookie stuff last year then she's not a rookie now. I've never heard of a "sub-rookie". Once you have performed at DCA weekend you are not a rookie anymore. At least that's how it works elsewhere. I assume you realize that at least 2/3 of the corps would be performing any rookie runthrough that might take place.

I find it hard to believe that 5 star would have brought up the topic of an alternate venue in the case of bad weather. How often can a drum corps show be moved indoors if it happens to rain? Judging from the number of canceled DCA shows last year, not very often. That article doesn't make much sense.

Actually we didn't learn too many songs. We did do battle hymn before our show though, which was cool. We are probably going to have to wait for a bus trip before we get to learn lots of songs.
