  2. Well said Dave... Thanks to all the corps!!!!

Music City Legend sounded and looked great!!!! Can't wait to throw them in the mix next year.

CorpsVets have a awesome hornline as always. They will definitely be a force in Scranton.

Heatwave did really well also. Sounded like they really had the crowd into the show. They seem to be on their way to defending thier Class A championship.

    Carolina Gold is coming.....

Didn't really get to hear anyone else over the weekend. Can't wait to see every one again!!!

  3. In the words of Strong Bad- total crap.

I've played their marching sousas and mellos. Horrible.

Aren't all of their sousaphones fiberglass?? I don't think I have ever seen a brass one.....

  4. A 6 1/2 is pretty standard. I still play on mine on my small trombone. It all depends on what level you are at support wise. The bigger mouthpieces like the 5G have a better sound if you can fill them up. If you have played on a smaller mouthpiece for a while, it will usually take a bit for your chops to adapt to the difference. They will wear you out faster until you adjust!!! If you like the 6 1/2. don't use the adaptor. Buy a large bore 6 1/2. I like the 51D myself.... Played a Benge 1 1/4 H when I played bass bone in a big band a few years back. It was great!!!

  5. I know exactly what you are saying. I have even played with a so called precision hornline. This may not make a whole lot of sense, but I would rather be great than perfect any day....
