  1. It is hard going from set playing to corps playing. I marched corps before I ever played set and let me tell yuo it was the hradest thing I ahve ever done. I was so used to playing with corps technique that I put it on to my set. Sure it worked and all but it did't look all that great. I ahve been playin for 7 years now and I have taught myself how to play a little softer asnd more fluidly ona set...it is fun but hard at the same time.

  3. It is all about bottom bass ladies....I mean the things are huge...I loved every minut of it and would give anything to march bottom bass again
  4. part of 98 all of 99 00 01 I played bottom bass for the Bandettes. 02 I was the full bass line...now that was fun...Drum hard girl show those guys up...
  5. I have recently been put in charge of teahing a drumliene here in Canada. As you all know high school marching bands do not exsist here but we do have a Sea Cadete band here. There are only 3 people on the line this year that were also there last year so they have been helping me learn their style of marching which is by far different from srum cpprs. However their drumline is very much drum corps stlye. I have marched bass for 5 years but never picke dup a snare or tenor....can anyone help me on how to teach rookies the style of drum corps snares and tenors.....

  7. Hey there fellow pitsters. I march with the Bandettes and we are having problems with starping down out equipmet for a safe trip accrs the states. I would liek some ideas of how your corps makes sure the pit equipmaent has a safe trip. I ahve broken so many bungees this summer :sshh: and they jsut don'r seem to do the trick any more. I am very open to any ideas so please give some!!!

  9. Well when it comes to straping them in I know it could be done better but one can do only so much with bunjees that break when trying to fasten them....I ahve done it several times this summer...lucky no was around when that happend. Them things can kill I swear to go lol

  13. We always put the pedals up. Our instructor would even check to make sure, but I guess with all the bumps in the road the wing nut came loose....
  14. This year Bandettes recived new keyboards from yamaha but on first tour the axels came unwelded and the peddal on hte vibes always came down while we wree on the road and bent. are we the only ones with that problem?? :(

  16. I marched bass for 5 years in Badettes and loved every minut of it. I would give anything just to march it again but medical problems set in....I wasnt the best but with practice and passion I am sure you can pull through...
