Are the vocal soloists in Crown and BAC really singing? If so, I am impressed...but unfortunately they sound too similar each performance.
Cavaliers having taped solos in "Run boy run" and their ballad last year (the full ensemble) have made me skeptical about the whole vocal thing.
It needs to be live for me to enjoy it.

What a waste of money. All other video streams perfect just not FLO. Tried all the fixes and by he end of the night it wouldn't even work on the lowest quality. It would just buffer every 5 seconds. Sucks for finals.
This is the fiert time it has done this for me. I wonder if it is a weekend vs weekday issue with Comcast. Or maybe regional? I am in the pacific northwest.

Anyone else have issues with Flo and Comcast tonight?
I know we are never going to get 1080p but man, mine was terrible. I could not even get it to run with Chrome on my macbook. Safari ran but it was ugly.
Had NO problems for San Antonio or Atlanta broadcasts.

Same issue for me. Was perfect all year until Allentown. Now after reboots, modem power cycles, switched to hard wired and no wifi, and did a internet speed test which was great. Still have to leave it on auto and get blurry or put on 720 and have it cut in and out. Frustrating. Especially since it worked fine all year and nothing has changed.
Exact scenario here. Comcast?

Rebooted Macbook. Restarted Router and Modem. Getting 180Mbps Download.

Check the resolution, which is in the bottom right of the video window. If it's set to Auto, change it to 720p and see if that makes the feed more stable.
Did that. Nothing changed.

Browser suggestions. I am using chrome on a macbook and getting about 3 seconds of a show, then a 20 second pause, then three or four more seconds.
When I switch to Safari, I get a terrible picture. Help! I can't get ahold of anyone at Flo.

Anyone else buffering?

So their failure is not having 20 DCI titles because they got caught? Hey...love that way of thinking.
No, I was merely giving a contrary point of view based on someone else's post. That was a very Trumpian way of reading my post.

I agree. And BD is a master at layering in things during the final two weeks as needed. Very few times in the past 20 years has BD been "caught" after having even a small lead. They are so good at adding content as needed IMO
Caught in 1999, 2001, 2004, 2008. If we can go back a little further, DEFINITELY caught in 1995. Caught by Regiment in 2006. Sometimes they get too confident in a program and their ability to outperform others that they forget that sometimes the corps chasing them are catching them because they have more content.

Last night lits of the corps speakers were just behind or to the side of the mics. It looks like the colts decided that they dont want us to hear their brass or pecussion.
-
Comcast is messing with me. I am hard wired in to my router and have no wifi on, yet I am buffering.

Flo started pixilation for me during the opening of Cadets. With the robes they looked like Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff in an organized quidditch game.

Anyone else getting a terrible picture now?

Has your internet ever gone out? Do you demand that provider issues an apology every single time it happens? Do you demand a refund for the time without internet? Everyone seems like the biggest babies through this. First time I've ever had problems with Flo and we are spending a little more for a year than I do a month for cable/internet which has more problems.
No, but when my comcast goes out I get a credit to my account.
If this is the first time you have had problems with Flo then you don't use audio. A majority of their audio quality is terrible and the camera angle choices seem to be done by someone who thinks watching a guard member change equipment is an intriguing shot.

Just watched both shows and didn't read this entire thread...
Cadets are too literal with themes and I think this hurts them. The choir singing the entire show is tough to take. Cadets just seem like they are trying too hard.
Boston has intrigue and an overall better product. Because of the way the judging community sees the corps, Boston will have to be three points better than Cadets to beat them by a tenth. Just the way it has always been. Can they? It depends on their instructional staff. The product is there.

BK. Love it. Have no idea what it was but it was great to watch.

Just saw Cascades. Pretty pictures but jeez, turn down the bass in the speakers. I am on the 50 and there were big sections where the subwoofers covered the enter brass. I have no problem with electronics. I DO have a problem with one kid dominating the sound of a corps with his pinky on a low F.

Don't cancel Flomarching yet. Give them a chance to fix what went wrong on their first drum corps event. There were sound issues for us and I'm sure Flo is just as anxious as we are to resolve them.
The audio sounded very similar to when they covered BOA events this past fall. They have a problem and no desire to fix it. I will be shocked if they do.

First, so much for cancelling and no DCI for you I guess...
Second, there is no "cheap" ANYTHING when it comes to Apple. And yeah, sometimes earbuds work better for sound that a surround system.
They were free and the older ones, not the redesigned...free is cheap.
And if the product is bad, then indeed NO dci for me. This is year 31 for me and our one local show and the Thursday theater show might just be all I see (unless they don't refund my money...in which case I will be ######).

SCV made PR look 20 years behind.

You know the mic placement is bad when PR's brass is overpowered by a shaker and cymbals.

Looks like they have mics on the field to mic the brass and percussion. What a terrible idea....this sounds awful.

Was watching with my 7.1 denon and polk audio speakers. Not a great sound.
Switched to my BOSE headphones. Still not great.
Switched to a cheap set of apple headphones and it is now almost tolerable.
The lesson is to use cheap equipment I guess.

I could barely here Steve and Dennis also. I tried a different theater than my normal just so I could enjoy the personal recliners. Should have gone back to my old one. The new one had so many sub woofers that with many of the corps, the sub was dominant.
Going back to my old theater next year.
