  1. Believe it or not, I know where Robesonia is. (My husband and I marched Bucs. him for 9, me for 3) Thanks again for all the kind remarks. Especially Jeff! All you locals (yokals to York Countians) are welcome to help. We really could use the extra ideas at meetings, cooking, etc. Don't be a stranger. We are a little crazy to do this, but any help will make us better.

    Here's a random request.

A truck is available to us for FREE from New Jersey. The catch is that we either have to get it towed here, or put a bunch of money into the registration/insurance, etc to get it back here. So a "free" truck quickly costs over $500. We have to save money we have for the season start-ups. I don't want to pass up this possibility. Anyone who has any ideas on how to get this beast back here, I would really like to talk to you. The truck will be used as storage until we make a few fixes to it so that it will pass inspections. Plus it also has a bunch of drums, etc that we could use.

    Thanks,

    Chalet

  2. Thanks for the positive remarks! York is not too big but we do have over 2000 kids in High School marching programs within the county and the neighboring county (Adams). We are about half way between Harrisburg and Baltimore.

Hey Tank, please pass on the good word to Mr. Dougert at Dtown about us. Their band is HUGE this year. We practice at his church.

    Thanks for the kind remarks.

See you on the field this summer!

  3. --When you are in the MRI machine and it starts sounding like 8 on a hand. True story. Upper pitch for snares then lower pitches for bass. The bass line was dragging at times... I think I am the only person who has had MRI's that was actually relaxed by it.

--When you think of naming your kids things like Madison, Clara, etc.

--I agree with seeing the busses. As soon as 3 or 4 busses start rolling by, I think where's the show.

  4. Yup! We're new. Where'd you go to high school? William Penn? Central? Dallastown? ??? I went to Dover. (there was no intelligent design back when I was in school! lol) We could sure use some administrative help, if you are interested. We live in the southern part of the county near Shrewsbury, but the corps practices in Manchester for the winter. Please contact me!!

    Thanks,

    Chalet

  5. Hello!

I would like to announce that Renaissance Drum and Bugle Corps from York, PA will be having its membership day on December 3rd from 9-6 at Saginaw UM Church (Near Manchester, PA).

Last year, Renaissance fielded a parade and performance corps. This summer we will be fielding a show with plans on taking that show to the nearby states of NJ, NY and MD, as well as performing in parades. Renaissance aspires to be a DCI Div III corps with plans to grow slowly and appropriately in the years to come.

We are currently looking for Brass Instructors for the upcoming season. Any interested persons should contact Chalet Harris, Director, at director@renaissancedbc.org.

As we are a new corps, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Contact Chalet Harris at director@renaissancedbc.org for more information.

    Thanks,
