  3. I like it that Crown doesn't pigeon-hole themselves into one specific style or genre. It would only limit creativity and stifle innovation if they did. While you may come to expect some corps' to give similar performances year after year, with Crown, I always wonder, "what are they playing THIS year?"

Wasn’t there a corps back in the mid 80’s and early 90’s that didn’t like to pigeon-hole their style?

They were known has the “Chameleon Corps.”

    What was their name? :satisfied:

Something of Indiana, I think …

  4. who brought out their horns? / who didn't?

if they're just going to play crap, I don't mind seeing it go. I would like each one to play their corps song... but... yea.

Only Corps I saw without instruments were The Bluecoats and Phantom ...

Seemed odd to see them come on the field without their brass and drums, but I'm ok with it ...

I can't believe no one is saying anything about the music they played while the individual corps marched on the field ...

Can you sing, "BOOM, BOOM ..." by the Black Eye Peas ...

  5. Now that some who actually attended Finals in person are waking up, can we get a few comments on this years TOTAL championship experience?

For example, did the sound improve with more fans in the stands?

Did you feel you paid way to much for your seat location?

Did you like the back curtain?

Was the temperature inside comfortable, seats wide enough, etc.

Did you have enough post-show opportunities to unwind, like adult beverages and food within walking distance?

Your overall impression of the Indy downtown, vs. spending your time on a college campus?

Most importantly, are you anxious to return next year?

    Thanks!

Had a great experience in Indy ...

Sound ... with more fans in the stands, the sound did seem to improve ... BUT, Thursday was scary and actually upsetting ... maybe like someone else said, good possibility I may have adjusted to the sound issues ...

On thing that I did notice ... this was during HNC's performance on Thursday ... when corps were playing to the back field, seem like many times their sound was boucing around in the ceiling ...

Seats --- Very happy with my seats --- I've been a several year member of "Friends." I was worried that the 200 sections would be too low ... playing over our heads, but that was not the case ....

Curtain was fine ... I "think" it helped ...

Stadium Comfort ... Thursday, it was freezing!!! With gusts from the air outlets in the ceiling ... The seats were awesome!! Cushions rocked!!

One issue that just P**sed me and everyone off around me ... Because of a NFL rule, the vendors would remove the bottle caps of sodas or water ... because we wouldn't throw the caps on the field!!!! THIS WAS A DCI Event!

Downtown Indy .... Great restaurants in the Dowtown Area ... much more pedestrian friendly than expected ... we easily walked to the stadium ...

Indy vs Bloomingon ... just an example ... if it were only based on Stadium, I would take Bloomington ... that's just me ...

Plans are to come back next year ....

  6. On another thread they needed 95.6 to pass Cavies - forget the exact for HNC but ut was 94. something which they covered.

    Another thread ...

CROWN needs 94.7 to move ahead of Cadets, and a 95.6 to move in front of Cavaliers.

SCV needs to beat Crown by 2 points.

PHANTOM needs a 94.75 to perform after Bluecoats.

BOSTON needs to beat Phantom by 0.15 to take the lead.

BLUE STARS need to beat Boston by 0.5, and Phantom by 0.65.

BLUE KNIGHTS need an 86.45 to overtake Glassmen.

COLTS need an 85.15 to perform in 12th place over Troopers.

MADISON needs an 83.85 to go on after Academy at Quarterfinals.

JERSEY SURF needs an 83.15 to perform after Pacific Crest

  7. CC is going to get at least 94.7 tomorrow.

The Blue Devils will be the last Corps to perform on Thursday night in Indy ...

Crown's Allentown score will be interesting to see ...

They need greater than 95.55 to pass the Cavaliers' average ...

They only need greater than 94.66 to pass The Holy Name Cadets' average ...

    I"m guessing they will score 94.75 ... 1 point from BD ...

  8. PLEASE can we find the IDIOT who screams "HOLY NAME" at EVERY FRIGGIN' show Cadets do right when they are playing backfield with the H-N-C form?

I hated it on the FN, but now we hear it in West Virginia, so this isn't an idiot from one local area. It came from near the press box right on the 50. SURELY there is no staff member from Cadets who is so stupid? Whoever this is, he really needs to shut up. It ruins a great moment from a great corps I suppose this idiot worships.

Note to person yelling "Holy Name!"

No need for you to do this in Indy ...

I will do it for you at Quarter-finals, Semi-finals and Finals.

    HOLY NAME!
