  1. Don't get upset when I say this, but the West Coast scores are typically a little inflated in comparison to the Midwest and East Coast. It usually translates in a score plateau around late July. I think Surf will be at the top of the competition, but it's hard to say. Good luck to everyone.
  2. I think the idea is that the Citations have had a few years where they've not been the most competitive corps across any division, but now they're really going to turn some heads.
  3. Way to go Surf and Citations. Glad to see the old ECJ staff is contributing to two great corps. Congrats to everyone else, also.
  4. I know I'm not flying solo, who's got ink of a corps they marched or have been fans of?
  5. Denny didn't march Memphis. He was in MGC in 2005 until they decided not to field, then him, Mary, Denelle, and that other girl came to ECJ.
  6. I got mine over the weekend. AA had a nasty hornline and some nifty drill, but the pit left me wanting. Our hornline struggled a little bit, but our drumline showed up and threw down. Blue Devils B really suprised me (mellos in Blue Shades!!!). Surf put out a cleaner show, more of the 2003 style in terms of quality. Unless I missed it, I don't recall seeing full retreat on the DVD, which is a little disappointing.
  7. Ditto, I actually look forward to what Brian has to say. He's a wicked smart cat who thinks before he posts.
  8. Yo, Blue Devils B. Blue Shades was sweet. Thank you mellos for that.
  9. Dude, that's exactly what I'm trying to do. And is it so wrong of me to do so? ECJ was an awesome time for me. How many div II/III corps do you know that can get members from different countries and parts of the US to come back year after year? And then I come here and see that not too many people actually appriciate what we do. Peace yall.
  10. Yo, Spartans and Surf for top 2. The East coast is going to represent this year, sans ECJ and Patriots.
  11. I'm so glad I'm not marching anymore. In the four years I marched ECJ, we never deserved to win anything, our shows sucked, and we were horribly immature... at least according to DCP. Thanks guys! :)
  12. That's an awesome comeback. I laughed my ### off.
  13. Haha, that's the weekend that Bean, Wizza, Lui, and Tripod are coming to visit me!
  14. I know I'm going to miss the banquet, but I'm still coming out to visit whoever I can in June. And Borges, you should have a bar at the banquet.
  15. The last 4 seasons I spent with ECJ was outstanding. So many good memories that I'm still laughing about. Jack "The Alien" Tully, muddy runs, the ridiculous amount of rain this summer, Snead, leaving for connecticut and three hours later being farther away than when we started. Take it easy, dudes. I'm going to miss all of you guys.
  16. There are PLENTY of adequate high school stadiums in the Indianapolis region. Many filthy rich high schools are in the Indianapolis area, hopefully if div II/III doesn't have the opportunity to perform at the div I stadium DCI could get one of those fields.
  17. Meh, I had a dude from AA crash on my couch for a week after finals. We marched together for three years before he moved. Obviously I had no probs with him at all. For the most part, the cats at AA seemed to think very highly of themselves. And of course, they had reason to. I suppose I really shouldn't say much about AA due to the fact that me and my corps will be personally ridiculed for our opinions, however biased they are. As a member who competed against this corps, and also spent time with a member outside of the season, I feel that they were a very well ran organization with a very good setup for success. Let me add, though, that with all of planning that went into this season for them, I don't feel they reached their full potential. Yes, I acknowledge that they won, fair and square. But where can the line be drawn between being the best out of the group and reaching your best? Perhaps with all the talk about AA showing up, sweeping finals, and having no competition, some of the members of the drum corps had a bit of a lack-luster approach to the season. I am not disrespecting AA or anything/anyone that is affiliated with the corps. This is my opinion of the drum corps and the success they had on the field this season. Besides some silly personal comments made about some members of my corps, they seemed like nice enough people with a good sense of sportsmanship. My final thought about this well-ran drum corps is that I hope things go well for them, but please check the egos at the door... unfortunately div I doesn't have room for those.
