  6. You're not kidding!!! Wouldn't you just DIE to hear "Tiger of San Pedro" again??
  7. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm thinking '76 was as follows: Busbies on the guard, Glengarries on the snares and mallets, helmets with plumes on the hornline and plain helmets on the rest of the drum line (along with the aforementioned orange vistalite)!!!
  8. Ho Ho!! I've been waiting two days for THAT answer!!!! Did you see how many people thought that it was YOU, Dan?? :P

  12. *tries to imagine a nursing staff ANYWHERE that would want to hear about Float's Oakland Crusader drum line* :sshh:
  13. Someday, John, I hope we're relegated to the same nursing home so that we can hang around the dining facility, talk old school drum corps and annoy the heck out of the nursing staff!!!
  14. Don't forget that they opened up their uniform jackets to display 1776-1976!!! And I believe the mallet players had Canadian flags stuck on the front of the keyboards!!!
  15. I didn't think of this, but that's correct..... I was thinking that this would have been the first year since '69 that YPG or Selections from Fiddler wasn't part of the show! Now, we really NEED to find out where Phillip is presently!!!! b**bs
  16. Well, does Mahler's 7th and Tchaikovsky's 6th ring a liberty bell? And, yes, everyone should view the '76 DVD to see Mike Boo's "face time" :P As a matter of fact, there's quite a few DCPers with face time on '76!!!!
  17. I believe Phillip was painted 1/2 white and 1/2 black.........Dan Guernsey, Dan Scerpella or Robert Pilot should be the authority on that!!! (Time for some Phillip stories, guys!!!)
  18. OK, in answer-- SCV-- Hint, check corpsreps.com to see when the last time SCV DIDN'T play either YPG or Fiddler!!!! :) Blue Stars-- Bicentennial Stars were not only on the tymps, but also on the.....? Seneca-- Think of which country they were from--and this MIGHT be the only year that two corps made DCI Finals that were from the same metro area!! Guardsmen-- Guess again. 12th place in horns. Good job, Cliff. I'm happy to see your memory is pretty well intact!!! ^OO^
