  1. just some more ebay stuff Getzen Baritone Dynasty Mellophone 2v Yamaha Snare We will continue to auction our unused equipment off until it is all gone. All our sops, contras and basses are gone. Still working on mellos , baris, snares, carriers and drum stands. Bidd high and often please.
  2. I talked with XL Specialty, and they are going to replace all the broken plastic leg clamps with a redesigned aluminum extruded clamp.
  3. The Derby City Knights are cleaning out their closets. We currently have the following items for sale. ***Prices do not include shipping and handling*** 2 Valve Horns for sale 10 DEG Sopranos (Silver) - $175 each 2 DEG Mellos (Silver) - $150 1 DEG Mello (Silver) - $50 - A lot of silver loss/no case 1 King Mello (Silver) - $275 - Great Condition 1 DEG Baritone (Chrome) - $150 (On Hold) 1 King Euphonium (Silver) - $300 - Really Good Shape/Good case 2 Getzen V/R's (Chrome) - $75 - Great Shape/Great Cases Drums For Sale 3 White Yamaha 14" sfz Snares - $175 each **No case, has carrier but the attachment is missing** 3 White Yamaha 14" sfz Snares - $200 each **includes case and carrier (has the attachment)** 1 Black Premier 14" Snares - $100 - Fair Condition **No Case or Carrier** 3 Black Premier 14" Snares - $75 - In pieces, shells and hardware in fair condition, Missing lugs and some other parts. **No case or carrier** 3 Yamaha Basses - $175 each - Near mint condition **includes case and carrier** ***Of coarse, not all of these drums have heads, and most should be replaced any way. Misc. We have 11 (or so) XL Stik drum stands also for sale. There is a mix of tenor, snare, bass stands, and a ton of extra pieces (most are snare I believe). All the stands are in good condition, however the little plastic connector pieces are in rough shape, but if you have the time to do the work you can save yourself a ton of money. I have contacted XL Specialty Percussion about cost and availibilty of replacement parts, will post the information I get from them. If you are interested let me know and we can work something out.
  4. The K-90 is now sold. Still looking to sell my K-80 Euphonium. This horn is in really good shape and a great player. If your looking for a horn with a huge sound, this is it. email or pm me for details and pics.
  5. Sadly, I must part with my K90 King Contra and K80 King Euphonium. Both are in good condition, with some silver loss at the contact points. Both were also used in 2008 with the Derby City Knights, so they are in playing condition. I am not sure what the going rate is on King's these days, so if your interested let me know and we can figure out a price. And before it comes up, K90 does not have the Ab slide stop.
  6. We are still looking for 3 sops, 1 bari, 1 contra and 3 guard.
  7. Hey Cozy, we have a spot for you if your interested.
  8. It is very possible. We have several people that have mini vans, but I have never paid attention to the decals.
  9. The Derby City Knights are rolling through the 2008 season. We are looking to fill the last few spots in our 2008 show. We are still looking for 3 sopranos, 2 baritones, 1 contra and three guard. We would also accept a few more in the front ensemble; however we already are pretty well off there. Our battery is full for the season. Our show this year is "That 70's Show" and includes Karn Evil 9, One More Time Chuck Corea, I'll Be There and Get It On. Now for some recent update: DCK is also proud to announce that our battery is changing over from Yamaha equipment to Dynasty equipment. I would also like to show off DCK’s new look for the 2008. The next DCK camp is June 7th and 8th will be held at Meade County High School in Brandenburg KY. If you are interested in checking us out, please feel free to contact me.
  10. No problem. And Bones, Dave and Cozy can get one if they like, they did do mini with us.
  11. So Ed, Have you had a chance to sport off that DCK member jacket at a MCL Camp?
  12. The 1291 is the one of the newer additions to the Miraphone line, a compact instrument with a large sound and a great feel. This sound will fit any playing situation and the low register is incredible. The 1291 is considered to be one of the greatest BBb horns ever made. This horn is about 3 years old, but is still in near perfect condition. The finish is at 100%, and it has only two extremely small dents and a couple of very small scratches(see pics below). Standard Features Bell 18.5" lacquered yellow brass Bore .835" Large bore Key BBb Size 4/4+ Valves 4 piston valves plus 1 rotary valve The 1291 5 valve has a list price of $13,479, however you can get one new from Woodwind Brasswind for $7,195. I am asking for $5500 for the horn and a Tuba Exchange Gig Bag. Cost of shipping, if needed, is not included in the price. I will also say that Fedex, UPS, and USPS will not ship it.
  13. All camps for the 2008 season will be at the Carroll County High School, which will serve as DCK's home for the 2008 season. Carroll County High School is located in Carrollton, KY off I-71 between Louisville and Cincinnati. The address is 1706 Highland Avenue, Carrollton, KY 41008. The hours will be 8:30 am to 7 pm on February 2th and 8 am to 5 pm on the 3rd. The camp fee is $10 for new members and $35 for returning members which is due during registration. All camp fee go towards member dues Even if you seem mildly interested in Derby City Knights, don't hesitate to come check us out next camp Feb. 2-3. You will never know if it's right for you until you try. Always bring a positive attitude when you show up. Be ready to work hard and sweat a bit. First timers camp fees are $10. The fee goes towards your membership dues. We have family show atmosphere and like to keep the vulgarity down to a minimum as much as possible for our younger corp members. We try to bond as a family and have many activities when Saturday night rehearsal is over. Everyone is welcome to stay at the school, but we will ask you to walk the campus after Sunday rehearsal to make sure it's clean. A clean rehearsal site will be better so we can keep this rehearsal sight in the future. We still have the follow spots available for the 2008 season: Sopranos (Trumpets) 7 Mellophones 1-2 Baritones 1 contras 1 Snares 2 Basses 1 Pit 5 Color Guard 7 Equipment is provided by the corps. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
