  1. Hi! Myself and my good friend from my winterguard are going to audition for the Bluecoats guard. We have been talking about it for 2 years now and decided it was time to go and try out.hehe. :-) The reason I am auditioning for Bluecoats guard is I really enjoyed the 01 and 02 shows and they seem like a fun bunch of people. Also it doesn't hurt that they are they closest corps to where I live and I will have a good friend coming with me.hehe.

  3. Hey! St Anns IS coming out! Info about 2003 auditions were posted on ramc. woot woot! :-)
  4. I really liked Boston Crusaders guard uniform and Phantom Regiment too. :D
  5. Hi. That rumor has not been confirmed yet. But word is if St. Anns doesn't come out then there may be a winterguard coming out of Boston Crusaders. Who knows though? It would be sad for St. Anns not to be out. :(
  6. Hey! Sadly no Crown Winterguard this. Michael Shapiro confirmed the rumor on RAMC. I wish they were still coming out though.
  7. I was also @ this show and have a few thoughts...mostly on guards,as I do watch guard most of the show. K.Kavaliers: They were okay...they are alot better than I remember them...I am not a fan of the capes in the beggining. But minus the few individual breakdowns they did a good job. Seattle: I can't remember anything that really stuck out about them. I enjoyed the music selections. Both times I have seen this show the weapon line has had a few drops. Crown: After reading all the reviews on them I was expecting to see something horrible. I didn't think it was bad at all. I actually watched the guard warming up before and they were great so I was excited to see them on the field. They were good once again. They did lots of difficult guard work in their show. I did think the guy with the dance solo should of lost the wings, I thought his dancing was fine though,I just didn't like the wings. I liked the Medusa Wigs though! I really enjoyed this show! Good Luck Crown, hope you make finals! Madison: I saw them waaaay back in June @ the Columbus show and they have improved a ton. They are decent now nothing amazing but nothing bad. The boy with the blond ponytail still has a bunch of solo's but he handled them alot better than he did the last time I saw them. Boston: This was my second viewing of Boston, I saw them Monday in Pittsburgh. I love this show,it was my favorite of the night in Pgh and here. Their weapon line is very talented! I think it is a really easy show to get into and the people I have gone to shows with also really enjoyed it. The flag they make at the end is cool and it seemed like the audience liked them alot as well. Good Luck BAC....top 5! ;-) Glassmen: Both myself and the girl I went with did not think this show was boring at all. They had a good weapon line and flag line. I also think they danced pretty well. Blue Devils: This was my 2nd time seeing BD. The guard is awesome again but I just don't like this show that much and I don't get the "hair dance". Bluecoats: This was my first viewing of the Bluecoats this year. I really liked the opening. I can't remember much at the moment, I wish I could see it live again though. :-/ So like I warned you it was all about the colorguards. hehe. P.S. Are the Kiwanis Kavaliers in Division 1? I could of swore they were but then the announcer asked if they were DIV 2 and a bunch of audience members told him they were and he announced them as DIV 2. So which is it?
  8. Hey,its on the WGI site I beleive. Its also on RAMC ,the usenet colorguard newsgroup...i think u can read it through google too. Part of the reason is to help get "A" class back to what it is suppose to be I think. Since there h as been so much argument over what A class is and how alot of the guards really would do great in Open. I think it is a great rule it will gives the rest of us A guards faith that 2003 could be our year in finals. I am excited for all the new changes WGI is making to make this fair for all the guards. :) There were a bunch of different rules passed to, I don't remember them all, but here is the one pertaining to the A guards being bumped: Proposal #42: Promote all finalists at World Championships into the next class. Amended to read: Promote all finalists in the IA and SA Classes at World Championships into the respective Open Class. - Retroactive to 2002 season. Passed as amended by Advisory Board there ya go! :) ~ Shannon ~
  9. Also WGI is taking steps to even out the classiest it seems...there was some meeting this past weekend all 15 finalist from IA and SA have been bumped to the Open Class.
  10. I think all the different classes are valid at WGI. Each class has different criteria. To see the judges sheets with explanations and such go to the MEPA website, last time I was there they have the sheets up and u can download and read them with Adobe, I beleive their site is www.mepacircuit.org
  11. Don't forget Carolina Crown...they have a excellent guard! :)
  12. 8^) Well James Logan was the highlight of my trip to Dayton...I thought they had the most entertaining show out of all the guards as did the fellow members of my guard and all the people I have spoken with. :p Anyways here are my favorites ( I only had the chance to see IA, SW and IW) IA- Paradigm,Apex and Top Hats SW- James Logan, Avon,Pope IW- Alliance of Miami,Crown,St Anns World and my favorite from the trip as mentioned above was James Logan. :D - Shannon -
