Great show tonight:
Mandarins are really continuing to step up, I think they're a finalist come Indy
Troop seemed like they struggled tonight
BD and Bloo was amazing, truly stellar and enjoyable products at the highest tier
Blue Knights were fantastic tonight... really good camera angle to catch things in the show I hadn't seen before. Still things to sort out, but really a phenomenal product that they're performing extreme well!!

Go Blues!!!
Exciting night for BK tomorrow- so much fun to perform at Invesco (Mile High) and in front of the home audience. This show is getting better and better and I've liked the changes that have been made recently in the guard work and equipment. Bloo vs BD is about as good as it gets!
wish I could see it live, but will settle for the live stream

They've also altered their equipment usage during the percussion concerto. Whereas the majority of the guard had the yellow discs now only a smaller group has them while everyone else is a weapon or dancer or both. Can't wait to see Drums on Webcast Saturday!

Never mind- the film was filmed at two HS in Cali.... I could've sworn it was filmed in Utah, oh well

Oh Weber State- Loved me some purple track to run on in that stadium. It was a close 2nd to marching in Boise on the Smurf Turf @ Boise State.

I go back to the 5.5 spread to BD that BK had last night. SCV who beat Bloo also was losing to BD. Just saying that a shrinking point spread to BD is never a bad thing.

You know it's quite interesting every year that once the California tour is over BK turns on the jets in Oregon/Washington/Idaho. They have less shows so it gives them lots of July rehearsal time to tweak, refine and get polished. One thing almost no one clamoured about this year is the fact that the show was complete out of the gate. That said I think early on we saw glimpses of greatness but that there was work to be done in areas as well. I'm so glad to see them score well, but even more than that they've now narrowed the point spread between themselves and BD by 5.5..... that's a sizeable statement about the quality of work being presented. Ultimately it will be a dog fight likely between corps 6-8/9, but I would not be a bit surprised to see BK at the top of that group or above come finals night.

I think that's a true disservice to say that about 2014 BK. That corps took that show and owned it. It wasn't about the placement, it meant more. Losing my father the Jan before the season made it all that more special ad meaningful. Yes this years BK is extremely talented, but they are because BK 2014, 15, 16 made members want to come to them. It's because of 2014 that BK has the talent they do now. Do not be disappointed by the placement in 2014- the members that year transcended that in many different ways .

Thought all the corps had great runs tonight.... Mandarins are the story of the early season so far.....
BK- great job tonight, top notch. Really enjoyed it. Guard has to keep on plugging and cleaning. I'm in agreement that some of the non traditional items could be dropped for flag or weapons. This show has lots of potential- just some tweaks to be made:) .3 from BD in brass.... hellz yeah
SCV I think will finish ahead of BD this year
