It's great to see one our local stations giving the corps a good amount of exposure. Props to WOAI.

Saw them rehearse last night. It's still very early, but I like what I saw. It sure looks like they have the vehicle to keep them where they belong

Although it wasn't very flashy, I really liked Boston's 2010 (kingdom) preshow. Gave me chills when I saw it live.

I don't see what the fuss is about. I don't see the difference between a handful of people sitting in the stands watching vs more people sitting in the virtual stands of youtube. What impact could it possibly have on the product that's on the field come August? We're so afraid some idiots will negatively comment on an unfinished product? Only the most diehard fans of the activity will seek out those videos anyway.

I think i'll just say thank you for the good review and sharing you thoughts. No homer rage from me

Last year seemed an exceptional year for entertaining, engaging shows. This year slightly less so, but only slightly. Kind of reminds me of '08 vs '09.

Isn't this exactly how 2010 started out?...

Being a fan of their '91 and '96 shows, it will be hard for me to not like this show.

They're selling the pre-season CDs right now. Wonder why they're not available for download instead of hard media...
Physical CD only? In 2012 that almost sounds like a bad joke...

There's one subscription...
So, yes, "basic" goes away. Yes, it's $15 cheaper than last year.
Great move DCI!

PLAYLISTS.
Savable playlists if possible. For both videos and audio.
And PLEASE allow a higher bit-rate stream for the Audio only. Right now the videos have better sounding audio than the streaming mp3s.

Yep yep. Great video!
I didn't necessarily have flashbacks because I wasn't around back then. I do however know of them (27th, Kilties, Bridgemen etc) thanks to the fan network. I just gotta say, how feaking awesome is it that the fan network exists?! Being able to experience these great shows from these great corps for the first time is incredible.

The Crossmen are from San Antonio, TX right now. Trust me I know... I flew 2,000 miles to camps and spring training that were all in San Antonio.
And we are proud to have them here.
-
Not sure. But I'm in San Antonio and the Crossmen are right down the street rehearsing as I type this... =)

Congrats man! I live on the westside and love catching a couple spring training rehearsals every year. Good luck to you and give 'em hell. '11 was AWESOME! Can't wait to see yall in '12.

Wow. Too funny. Props...

Besides preexisting fans, would anyone stop flipping though channels even for a minute is they came across a "maching band" show? The only chance at converts is to take them to a live show. I just don't think Drum Corps on TV works in this day and age. And I don't think there are any changes that can be made to get past the 'band geek' stigma perceived by the general public.

Ah ha. I ordered through the FN too. So the ones that bought it first get it last.
Good times.

I'm not the only one who hasn't received them yet, right?
-
I agree.
Waiting until the DVDs have shipped gives the appearance that DCI was trying to dupe fans into buying a a product they knew to be less-than-complete. It really doesn't matter if that was their intent or not -- the appearance is sufficient to cause the consumer to have doubts about their intentions. It's just bad PR.
Precisely

Bad PR hoopla aside, How are the DVDs? Look good? Sound Good? Impressions anyone?
