By the way, technically BK has not introduced their show yet, only that it is all Barber. It's pretty much going to be amazing.
-
I'm definetely a fan of the white, I hope they just change the design a bit or something.
-
Yes, it was in fact the Stampede, made up of Blue Knights Percussion members.
-
everyone always counts out BK.

This is very true, they're usually in less than half of everyone's top 12 predictions.
By the way, my favorite BD show is '98

Very nice website. Looking good! Sounds like a good show too.

Pretty amazing! I saw this on Christmas! Sounds good.

Not to play devil's advocate here but didn't the Troopers get in trouble w/ DCI for owing less money that this?
I know the situations are different because of the IRS paperwork but I would think DCI would also have an interest in knowing what kinds of loans a group has going to keep itself afloat.
True, but PR's still doesn't have to do with taxes and the government and all that.

The only corps in that top 4 NOT to win a championship is Phantom
Unless of course you count 1996.

I'm probably alone on this but I always thought that the Blue Knights '04 chord at 4:46 was a really awesome one.

Alrighty, thanks for all your help, I talked with my father and he said that he'd be willing to help me register for classes over the phone if I needed to. I'll begin contacting some people at the university once they actually accept me. I've sent my application in, and I'm pretty sure that they're going to accept me (My GPA and ACT are pretty good). Who would you guys suggest the best people at the university are to contact. The office of admissions? Who would deal with the orientation and registering? Thanks again for your help!

what? like contraband? iran/contra?, was that in 86? do you know what you are talking about?
I just got drink all over my monitor!
I think it might just be how you're listening to them, it sounds great live, I was at Denver '04. They sounded awesome from where I was.

Definetely BK '02
-
I had a question regarded starting college and drum corps. So I'm finally looking at colleges and applying and stuff, and I was just wondering: Will it mess up my ability to get ready for college. As in: registering for classes, orientation days, and things like this. I'm hoping that it won't mess me up or anything because I really want to try-out for a corps. I would just like to hear from someone who marched corps recently the summer before their freshman year in college. Thanks for your help.

91 Star
80 Spirit
03 Phantom
00 Cadets
95 Madison
-
I haven't been to any of those finals (I went to '04). But, from what I've heard and seen on DVD's and recordings. I would have to agree with many others and say Madison '99. My lord, that crowd at the end with the cross was unreal.
-
I know the pressure, with the Troopers not marching this year, the only choice I have is Blue Knights. All of the other corps are at least 500 miles away (rough estimation). If I don't make BK...There's pretty much no chance for me to march.

Going for Blue Knights on Bari/Euph
-
I have to agree with everyone who voted for 1999
1. BD and Vanguard with wonderful shows!
2. Cavies and Cadets with fun cool shows
3. Glassmen with a wonderful musical selection
4. Madison flat out entertains
5. BK has a visually stunning show, wonderful sound
6. Phantom with a classic show
7. Boston breaks into finals.
8. Crossmen jazz, Colts making an awesome finals appearance

Phantom '96
Star '91
Madison '95
Cadets '00
Phantom '03
SCV '89
instead of a seventh show I chose
Phantom - Amazing Grace
Fanfare from Silverado
Sections 1 and 2 from BK's February camp '05 (Because I was there)
SCV - Send in the Clowns
Totals up to perfectly 80 minutes

Blue Knights on Baritone

I call BS.
that's ridiculous. SOMEONE has to place below 21... so what if it's happened three years in a row.
stupid move, and an even more stupid rule.
~>conner
That is not the rule that has been broken, as many Trooper's insiders have said already. It has nothing to do with where the corps is placing according to the information released in this thread.
-
I would have to say 1999
BD and SCV are just stunning with the championships. Cavies have a great show, Madison, BK, Crossmen all have great shows. I like nearly all of the top twelve in 1999.

I'll be in. A very very good musical show. Our high school marched RCM, so I always have a soft spot in my heart for it. *goes to siggy*
