The Troopers are now accepting on line applications for the 2008, 50th anniversary corps. Competition for open spots will be tight as we anticipate a very high return rate in both the brass and percussion sections.

Everyone I spoke with in the Troopers' organization had a great summer and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to encourage parents to send their kids to Troopers. Competitively, the placement DID NOT tell the story of the corps this year. But that's never been the reason for Troopers' existence.

The values instilled from being in Troopers come back to help kids as they become adults. Yes, one can say that about all corps, but there's just something special about Troopers' values...the old-fashioned, wholesome, All-American values we learned from "The Andy Griffith Show." I'm saying that as a compliment.

That is very nice of you to say. Everyone in Trooperland thanks you for the kind words.

I think they just want more ice cream after their last performance. Except next time it won't be after quarters. They'll have to wait a little longer! B)
