Joey, extraordinary, busted a move on the charts this weekend and the horn line was ready for it - With ALL the low brass in attendance, the movements through the book were nothing less then spiritual ~ With out rest ... the hornline touch every note of the entire show and we all were breathless with the beautiful harmonies of this exciting book - Matched only by Brian Ballard's presence with the drum line that is busting at the seems in both numbers and desire to create the heart beat of this years show - A relentless Kyle Leach (visual) prepared the line for what was yet to come and a great time was had by all- The Staff & Corps are soooo looking forward to the opening camp at the end of the month - EXCELSIOR would also like to welcome all the new comers - turning out from all over the state, to participate in the hornline / drumline and tech staff. Netty
I would like to second that BIG HUGE THANK YOU to all the new Caption Heads and Especially Joey Pero. We are probably the luckiest corps to have him as our arranger and Horn instructor. This sundays camp will be sure to be educational as well as inspiring to all those who are joining us for the day. The buzz word from the members has been "WOW" Joey has brought out a sound in our corps that is chilling and emotional at best. The staff for this year seems so on track with the show and working together it is giving the members a sence of SUCCESS!!! They are all driven and as excited as we are to put this show together. Thank you to Donel for taking so much time in Hiring the best staff for EXCELSIOR!!. Hope to see all the new faces at camp next weekend.!!
