ST_Lawson
For those of you who may have known him, Tony Chamberlain passed away Tuesday (May 27th) night at 9:27 PM. Tony marched with the Geneseo Knights from 1972 to 1981 playing various percussion instruments (I remember him always telling us about how he used to lug a giant timpani around the field, back in the days of marching timpani). He continued on with the corps in later years as a staff member, staying with the corps through it's final years in the '90s. Tony was one of four Chamberlain siblings who marched with the Knights. Ironically, in Tuesday's DCI Fieldpass Podcast, host Dan Potter relived his time with the Knights, replaying an earlier podcast about a Knights reunion that happened in the summer of '06. In that podcast is a short clip of an interview with Tony Chamberlain from the reunion. If you would like more information about Tony, or about the funeral arrangements, please visit the Knights Alumni website at http://www.knightscorps.org If you happen to know any other alumni of the Kewanee/Geneseo/Quad Cities Knights, please let them know. Thank you.
