AZcoltcontra
After much debate on what direction to go this season, we have decided to change our name from The Blues Express to The Crimson Kings. The reason being that we feel somewhat limited with music that hasn't already been done by groups like BD, Coats, etc. We want to revisit and recapture the success of our inaugural show "Across the Universe" which was a dominantly Progressive Rock show. The world of Prog will be our corps theme so to speak. We will still be based out of Tempe, and we will remodel our corps hall to fit our new style. And now, announcing the Season XI show: This will act as a transition show, though we will be donning our new uniform this season. In the world of film music there is probably no other composer quite as progressive as Ennio Morricone. From Westerns to Gangsters, Morricone has sculpted unique musical worlds, almost like pictures in an exhibition. The Crimson Kings would like to present to you... Three Portraits of Morricone I: Medley from The Untouchables II: Gabriel’s Oboe/Main theme from The Mission (from The Mission) III: Main Theme from Once Upon A Time in the West/Man With A Harmonica (from Once Upon A Time in the West) The Ecstasy of Gold/The Trio (from The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly)
