CODCE's Season Wrap-Up

Recommended Posts

First off, congrats to ALL finalist in all divisions, and super congrats to Sparrow, Kadence, and the Knights on their big wins!

It has been a great live season, thank you to everyone who makes this possible, as well as all of the participating directors for making things fun

All of our corps were either knocked out at Semis or Quarters in their respective divisions, but spirits still ran high. All the CODCE corps members had a big banquet for lunch of finals day, then spent the afternoon around the stadium and finally went into watch World Class finals before the bus ride home. The buses arrived at the Denver rehearsal facility about 5:00 this afternoon, tearful goodbyes were exchanged, and the last out-of-state members boarded their airplanes at DIA by 7:30.

We here on the CODCE Staff look forward greatly to the winter season, and planning begins later this week.

On that note, we are looking for a good percussion arranger or two who would be willing to write both/either drumline and/or pit music for all 3 corps. Or, if you can't write for all three, we will even take a different arranger for each corps. So if you think you can write some good drum music, send me a PM in the next few weeks and we will begin discussing next year's show

See you all in the winter season

Wow, that was a much faster response than expected

Already, most of the positions have been filled. William and Cedrick of 1-2-3-4 Down Beat will be doing the pit and drumline arrangements for both Firebird and the Firebird Cadets. Austin will be doing the drumline music for the Front Rangers.

This means that we are still looking for just one position: the pit arranger for the Front Rangers (class A). IF you are interested, PM me
