G-horns
Hello DCP!I have a student who would like to brush up on his Theory and Aural Skills and would like to know if there are any free websites out there that I could help him? Please post here or send me an PM Thank You! Bracknbras I did a search on "free music theory lessons". This one was near the top of the list....http://www.musictheory.halifax.ns.ca/lessons.html If you have a number of students you might be interested in musiclearningcommunity.com It is a subscription service. sliphornchic
http://www.musictheory.net/ This site is awesome! If you click under "lessons" it gives you little theory tutorials - however it only covers a certain amount...definitely give it a try though and see if its the appropriate level your student is looking for. Then he can go under "trainers" and also put a lot of the stuff to practice...they're kind of tests/quizzes. I used this in high school because they didn't offer AP theory or any theory class for that matter, so I mostly taught myself all that stuff on the site so that I could be caught up and ahead for the first 2 semesters of college theory. justinbarleben
www.teoria.com is also a very good one. We used it with musictheory.net in my Theory I class in HS.
