  1. Not quite a poster, but these seem to resemble what you're looking for... http://www.zazzle.com/nailed_my_dot_tshirt...715690203426077 http://www.zazzle.com/drum_corps_marching_...992616665596400
  2. www.teoria.com is also a very good one. We used it with musictheory.net in my Theory I class in HS.
  3. Question I've been wanting to ask ever since I first saw one of these threads: Where does one acquire these tapes? I know they're on some of the DVD's, but other than that, I have no clue.
  4. Two lanes in either direction, from 531 to the Inner Loop. They're mostly doing work on the eastbound side, so all four lanes of traffic are on the (eventual) westbound side for most of that stretch.
  5. I will now switch my views for the sole purpose of no longer complying with the established truth.
  6. I would choose music over the visuals. Probably because most of my exposure to DCI has been through finals CD's.
  7. Any suggestions? I'm sure "two brass openings" wouldn't work much better
  8. Well then, that eliminates the need for my pea-sized list. This is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!
  9. I've noticed a lot of Twitter-related posts on DCP lately. So, lets get a comprehensive list together of corps/members who are posting from tour, along with their screennames. DCI World Class Pioneer: @PioneerDrmCorps Boston Crusaders: @bostoncrusaders Madison Scouts: @madisoncorps Cavaliers: @TheCavaliers (also @marimba06, head DM) Phantom Regiment: @PhantomRegiment Holy Name Cadets: @TheCadets Colts: @TheColts Spirit: @SpiritDrumCorps Crossmen: @Crossmen DCI Open Class DCA Open Class Music City Legend: @MusicCityLegend Caballeros: @Caballeros1946 Bushwackers: @BushwackersDBC Buccaneers: @RdgBuccaneers DCA Class A These are the only ones I have right now, but I'm new to Twitter. Let's see how many corps are on Twitter!
  10. I know they have similar names, but if I remember correctly, wasn't the Renegades '08 music entirely original compositions?
  11. http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/inde...c=117932&hl I'm sure it's popped up in other threads as well, but here's the gist of it...
  12. Yes. Especially since my school doesn't have a fall marching/field band.
  13. Mine is 42 also. We also have a separate helmet number, but I march tuba, so I don't have to worry about that one.
  14. Honestly, I had never gotten emotional after a drum corps performance until Sunday. I spent the entire season in an amazing tuba line (my nicknames were "Newbie" and "Tickbox" but I love those guys anyway), and wouldn't have traded it for anything. When Fusion CAME BACK TO THE GATE just to cheer us on, it put me over the edge. I cried my eyes out for at least 15 minutes afterward. Thanks to Cru's tuba line for an awesome season, and thank you to Fusion Core for giving it the perfect ending. Justin Barleben Cru Tuba '08 "Our old man will kick your old man's butt."
  15. I'm not much for medals, but I think it looks pretty awesome. Better than the medals I get from dance competitions. I do realize that I am fairly new to drum corps. Have there been better-looking medals in the past? Could someone post some pictures of old medals for those of us who just don't have a basis for comparison?
  16. 1 - Blue Stars 11 - Carolina Crown 14 - Madison Scouts 12 - Phantom Regiment 11 - Santa Clara Vanguard 17 - Troopers Credit PR Tick SCV Tick Blue Stars
  17. The Rochester Crusaders won Sound of the South last year in Woodbridge, VA. It's where the infamous Fusion-Cru sauna sectional occured, if I'm not mistaken...
  18. Crusaders + Fusion Core = The Crusion Four Possible micro corps from that other thread???
  19. My grandpa was a french horn (or its drum corps equivalent) for the Crusaders when they won their American Legion championship, and actually met my grandma through drum corps. Last spring, a drum corps played an exhibition at a high school marching band pageant, and, not knowing the story, joined the Rochester Crusaders then and there. I just finished my rookie season, and I'm ready for more! Pretty cool how these things work out...
  20. Govies drumline at retreat...they had about twenty different little routines that they did whenever we were supposed to applaud. freaking hilarious.
  21. I agree completely, that was the best lodging we could have asked for. The showers were hot, food and drink were available (through vending machines and a local pizza place that happened to deliver at 2:30 AM), and it was awesome to hang out with Fusion Core. Great job to everyone who performed this weekend, it was well worth the bus ride!
