Recommended Posts

Prairie Sound Drum & Bugle Corps is hosting the Midwest Drum Corps Alliance St. Patrick's Parade Block in Shawnee Kansas Sunday March 14th, 2010.

Prairie Sound of Olathe, KS and The Commanders of Tulsa Oklahoma join forces for the Johnson County Kansas St. Patrick's Parade organized by the

Irish Armerican Club of Shawnee, KS.

All participants will meet at the National Guard Armory 1601 W. 56hwy Olathe, KS 66061 for rehearsal on Saturday March 13th from 7pm to 11pm.

Participants are welcome to crash at the Armory overnight which will make the trip a little more affordable.

We will have a Hornline, Drumline and Color Guard for this event.

On Sunday march 14th, 2010, all participants will meet at Johnson Drive and Monrovia in Shawnee, KS at 11am. We will keep the chops warm until the the parade starts at 1pm. The route is one straight Green Mile of Marching Fun on Johnson Drive from Monrovia to Neiman. There will be lots of Irish fun to be had after the Parade.

I'll post a review in the review section afer the Parade.

Cheers,

Jeff,

Prairie Sound!!!

We are pretty musch Local again this year.

2010: So far we have had 3 rehearsals, 1 Winter Corps Performance. We will be marching the Johnson County, KS St. Patrick's Parade this Sunday with The Commanders of Tulsa, OK.

We will Rehearse, Fundraise and Recruite from April to June.

July will be a Local 4th of July Parade, Possibly a performance at the KC DCI show in the Souvi area and our own Independent Drum Corps show with Out of Town Corps and Local Talent.

August will be the Johnson County Fair Parade in Gardner, KS and hopefully the Minnesota Drum Corps Weekend if our fundraising pays off.

September we have The Old Settlers Parade and Celebration the 2nd weekend and the American Royal Parade in KC the 3rd weekend.

October we hope to have a Local Drum Line competition show.

November and December will be Prairie Sound and the Salvation Army in Concert and at the Kettle.

On the side we will be working on a youth Drum Line and our Color Guard will be working on an indoor show for the Next WGI season.

We have a 501©(3) Drum & Bugle Corps but we won't be DCA or DCI this year unless we come up with some cash for the fees and Insurance.

So that's were we are right now.

Thanks,

Jeff,

Prairie Sound!!!
