City Sound Posted September 27, 2010 Share Posted September 27, 2010 New time and location: The City Sound Brass Choir is an element of the City Sound Drum and Bugle Corps. The purpose of the ensemble is to give an opportunity for brass musicians to work on their craft and perform with a brass choir. This ensemble is open to brass musicians of all ability levels age 13 – 21 years old. We will assist the developing brass student with technique and ear training. This ensemble will give the more experienced musician the opportunity to take a leadership role in their specific section and hone their skills with sight-reading and musicianship. The difficulty level of the music will range in complexity, with some of the music being arranged exclusively for the City Sound Brass Choir. Rehearsals will be lead by the City Sound brass staff. Rehearsals will be held at Dominguez High School, 15301 San Jose, Paramount , California 90723,. Rehearsals will be on Sundays from 9am to 11am beginning September 19 though January. To maintain consistency in the member’s playing, bring your own instrument and mouthpiece to rehearsals and performances.....and yes Trombones are invited.
